I was thinking of maybe a new stone? that has the effect of instead of u degrading/breaking an item it disappears from inventory.

 

Stone of Defense maybe?

 

it couled cost like 100kgc~

 

and if you made this u could prob have nmt degradable... but u know lol (you never know what might break)

 

u could even waste it on aug pants :>

Not bad, however the price is really high, even titanium plate or CoL doesn't reach 100kgc value, so why protect them with even more expensive stone. Unless you meant it for really top-notch stuff like magic armours and weapons of course.

To help the economy is better the stone of degrade.

You can have it for free, random, when you harvest

and you can't remove it from the inventory.

The stone will disappear when a weared item will be

degraded/breaked: less COL to harvest :)

Why not simply a stone of breaking protection?

 

The stone breaks when an item you wear breaks/degrades. And the item then doesnt break/degrade of course, but the stone is gone.

 

Let it cost 2k gc, or, ingreds worth 2k gc.

 

The stone breaks on your leather pants? Bad luck.

The stone breaks on your dragon armor? Good luck.

 

That could be a nice money sink :)

I had a similar thought but discounted because....

 

In conjunction with nmt this could make things too easy..

With nmt + 5 of these on board - you would never break anything - at most you lose all the stones - on yeti - this would easily be recouped!

 

To make things a bit more realistic.. a small chance for the stone to fail.. and the item still gets destroyed...

Otherwise we are back with the 'unbreakable' nmt saga - on everything!

 

Or that for it to work - it has to be equiped... This would therefore force you to not wear one item... making you significantly weaker..

No, then the stone doesnt stop something leaving the game. Gold coins at least. And the 2k gc i mentioned for the stone are only a number, maybe it could be 10k or 500 gc, i dont know how much stuff breaks in game or not.

 

And even with a NMT cape/perk, you still lose something, so something leaves the game: The stone itself.

 

So the stone protects your CoL, your Harv Med, your Pickaxe, your shiny armor, your leather pants, your leather glove. It would be interesting to know how many stones leave the game coz ppl are too lazy to put them in storage when they go harvesting and break pickaxes or gloves.

 

Well, just my 2 euro cents :)

Cool idea, i think 30k would be good price tho

I'm sure people will love that: Your Moon Medallion broke but was saved by your degrade stone. :)

 

The price of the stone would have to be low enough to be less than most of the better armor/swords people use. And then they'd have to not use stuff like medallions, capes, etc. that wouldn't be worth protecting.

If this stone was buy able only from a npc and not make able and its cost ~5-10kgcs ..would take some serious gold coins out of the game in my opinion

Trust me - with the stone at 2k gc or so - every one will carry a couple of dozen with them at all times... nothing 'valuable' ever leaves the game - just these stones... soon everyone will have full tit/col/nmt...

Sucky idea, would annoy ppl that train a/d i think even more than degradable nmt.

I have no idea why all ppl suddenly wanna "help the economy", does helping economy mean ppl who fight should lose crazy amounts of money coz of broken stuff?

make it to be buyable from npc only, or make to formula to require a rosto or atleast binding stone! this way everybody would watch when they put it on!

These stones could work, although they should be difficult to make and buy, and only be useful for armor beyond iron plate as far as cost-effectiveness goes.

15-30k a pop would be a good price, I would pay that to protect my set of MoL, Steel torso, Steel pants, Steel boots, Ti shield, JS, and maybe a CoL.

Could be an engineering item, who knows?

 

As for how to make them, I say there should be gypsum involved :P

 

On a side note, these would really boost some incentive to work on Engineering for players.

i think theres a nmt cape to protect weareable stuff when fighting, this stone should protect u from negative effects when harvest.. 1 stone stops 1 neg effect... and it may be made like indicator stones...

Let saving stone be equippable (maybe head slot, you take your brains off and put it there) with 1/1000 breaking change and protect other items from breaking.

I had this idea for a very long time, but it is incompatible with a non degradable NMT. And since people voted the way they voted, oh well.
