Test server part 2

Ok, the following modifications were made:

All the mana potions have a reduced cooldown (by about 30% or so)

The spells: mana drain, life drain, harm, poison, remote heal, heal summons and harm summons were modified to also use the rationality of the caster (and sometimes the one of the target) . Please test those spells, and ideally people od different magic levels and different rationality should test them to make sure that the more magic and rationality you have, the higher the damage (against the same target).

 

Also please test the combat experience during pvp and normal fights with monsters, I made some PK server changes and we need to be sure they didn't affect the normal server.

Oh, ok, I found a bug in most of the new formulas, don't test the spells anymore until I fix them. Meanwhile, test if the exp is right.

Oh, ok, I found a bug in most of the new formulas, don't test the spells anymore until I fix them. Meanwhile, test if the exp is right.

I tested few fights vs players with swords and withouth weapons and exp seems fine, also on mobs it seems ok.

Well I harmed a falcon, deer & wolf to death with 1 hit but only harm 1 on other players & fluffs.

 

Edit: sorry that was wrong all harms are for 1 like they said LOL

Hmm weird, coz i harm wolf/rabbit/deer for 1 dmg too.

At 1st when even Giewont was able to 1-hit kill me with harm(magic lvl under 30 and low rationality) i wasnt able to do 1-hit kills with my harm, i dealt big dmg, like 140-150, but not for full health.

Magic 82, ratio26, i do 70-80dmg harms to creatures w/o magic protection, i do 40-60dmg harms to giant, he has decent magic protection.

My harm dealt 70-80 dmg to a player.

My remote heal spell heals players and creatures/monsters for 150-160dmg .

Isnt that a bit high? especially on monsters. People will just heal their monsters and they can train forever without respawn.

Well masterpiter does have a great magic level. Also I think its the point that healers will actually have

some power to assist 'tanks' in battle. Not everyone is going to deal that kinda heal unless they get 82 magic

with rat 28.

Magic 50

Rationality 13

 

Harm: 23 to 29 dmg. Seems same range with Deer, Boar, Large Spider, Tall Gargoyle, Phantom Warrior & Male Ogre

 

Heal Summon: 23. Healing a bear from a stone.

 

Remote Heal: 143 to 152. This seems rather too high. Was self as target, but also maxed a Male Ogre in one shot, starting from 1 point.

 

Restore is giving 165, exactly as it should.

tried with feros, white tiger, cycs & DCs

 

Remote heal 185-187 (weird, i can heal more than MP :P )

Restore 148 as expected

 

Harm 11-15 (i find it a bit on the low side)

Life drain 17

mana drain 17 on DC

For a low-level mage:

 

Magic=35

Rationality=10

 

could only test the following:

 

Harm: 38 damage (against armed orc)

Life drain: 13 life drained (against armed orc)

Life drain: 15 life drained (against cyclop)

Restore: 120 hp healed (out of 290, summative)

Heal: 10 hp healed

 

Apparently all ok.

I think it would be nice to have a strong remote heal, but too prevent abuse you shouldn't be able to heal monsters with it. I don't know how much work it is, but it would be cool though :)

 

Edit: Or simply a less strong formula when you heal monsters.

The currently existing formula on the test server is wrong (it also heals more if you have less rationality, btw). In reality, it will do much less healing.
