porpoisepower Report post Posted October 15, 2005 When someone pm's something it replies back something. example player types /Rabbit DIE BUNNY!<enter> response [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] <end example> btw I'ld be happy to implement this.

Vanyel Report post Posted October 15, 2005 This would break any RPish atmosphere at all. Sure some monsters could talk, for example dragons, but rabbits?! For god sake - NO.
ssjgohan Report post Posted October 15, 2005 i'd think it'd be funny if ya pmed a rabbit and it replied in bugs bunny style
Dunian Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Maybe if you were able to turn it on\off with #humor?
Derin Report post Posted October 15, 2005 The problem is this: In order to PM someone you need a unique name, so PMing /rabbit won't do the trick (as there are many rabbits in the game at any given time)
sparhawk Report post Posted October 15, 2005 unless someone wants to make a bot for each animal that when pmed says something diffrent./rabbit_bot hello /rabbit_bot i will pwn you! anyway this is nonproductive idea and bluntly i dont see the point
HierosGamos Report post Posted October 15, 2005 solutions to all these things... i like the "#humon on/off" idea (for role players who think it would be stupid) and to message the animals just do /<rabbit> or any symbol that cant be used in a real name but i think there is no need to implement this... honestly how many times are you gonna PM a rabbit and get "whats up doc" before it stops entertaining you and not being worth the keystrokes lol ...they could maybe randomize the replies or something tho and have a list of funny replies which i guess might give you people something to do when you're bored ;-P =)

porpoisepower Report post Posted October 17, 2005 depends on how you code it. If you made Critter/Monsterbots, that just responded with random pm's or emoticons that'ld probably work, otherwise a little parsing in the code that processes pm commands could catch said targets and make sure they are handled differently. Will it have a impact on game. not likely unless inteligent monsters said helpful stuff occasionaly would it bug people who never think to try to pm random creatures, not likely will it be amusing the first 2 times and then stupid, yes. That being said do people who pm beavers 40 times an hour have a right to say that its stupid, when they could just not pm them? I'll let you decide. anyways I just thought it would be cute for 2 minutes, and then people forget about it. the dreaded porpoisee
gilthanas Report post Posted October 17, 2005 how about if you kill something you get something like "#animal_message rabbit: I will pwn your nooby friends for killing me"
Entris Report post Posted October 17, 2005 It is likely that you get this: /Rabbit DIE BUNNY!<enter> and then: [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] [PM from Rabbit: What's up Doc?] etc. 209859[/snapback] LoL that would be fun!
Dark_Nightmare Report post Posted October 19, 2005 We need more BOTs, strrets and towns are empty, we need BOTs to fill in the blank spaces, like normal people. They will only have strong enough stats to kill a goblin non-equiped.
