anti-magic land mine

How about something like a mine but instead of doing damage it eliminates/purges/expires all active magic spells from the guy it blows up on? This would include magic immunity and magic resistance spells (but only the spells not the effects of items - probably it shouldn't eliminate the effects of potions either).

Since you don't run while you fight I don't see how players could profit from it.

I like this idea. May give a nice touch to fighting. Especially if used to create a nasty ambush. I'd add just an effect of cooling down spells to it (regular 2 seconds).

maybe because the shockwave produced is so bad with its effect it could produce cooldown in other ways also (dis/pots)? or perhaps this could be the effect of a 2nd type of the same mine suggested...definitely possibilities on this one, i like it.

see, and thats 1 of the ways to let people remove others magic immunity with SKILL instead of thousands of attributes :P good way imo, means engineers will have something to say in PK, or at least their mines :]
