*Standing applause* to the teams who gave it a go and didnt bitch and moan about astro thing.

 

@toomass/marwen everyone know who used superior strategy and killed the most monsters. It a pity they alwys seem to stop moving when you fight them. The scoring was not number of monsters killed but waves completed

 

@rest of \A/ team well done and we seriously need to consider a nex buying guild project for next years contest (I joke.... hmm maybe not...).

Thanks very much for hosting the event Anshar, it was great. And thanks to everyone else who made the Mortos Challenge possible. I was a bit dissapointed because half of my team didn't show up so we couldn't participate, but we would have gotten owned anyways :-P

 

I must say, my favorite part was when I tried to get a seat while the stands were full and I was teleported into the middle of the arena and started screaming. All my guildmates thought it was pretty funny and anyone else who saw me might have though so as well :-P This was not intentional, I assure you. Luckily, I was teleported to the wraith before the next wave came.

I hadnt any idea its about completed waves and in 1st post is something about BEST team and ONE winner.

I thought that the monsters were still b/c they were trying to reach the audience (target) and were unable to reach them. They just kept on trying to attack the audience member so stayed there until one of the attackers approached them enough for the monster to switch its target?

That's correct. We faced the same problem last year. It is not possible to solve without a complete new arena or complete rebuilding the one in Tahraji Desert. Moreover, it is completely impossible to control.

It is not buggy AI, they just couldn't reach the target.

My apologies. I heard after i posted that the monsters were targeting the people in the stands who they couldnt reach and thats why they didnt move from the edges of the arena. So AI is not buggy is just map design issue which i think will be worked on.

 

This contest was good fun and i hope that more will be hosted in the coming weeks/months.

kinda difficult for them to reach a target when they didnt even move , i watched entire event, as he fight they alll frozen in cornor all around arena

(not taking anything away from marwen he did good job non-the less) but i observed that even when their were 15 monsters in arena the middle of arena was empty they all ventured off to the cornor and there they stayed and he had easy, yes i say easy time picking them off one at a time, it actually looked as if they were waiting in line ..good luck for marwen mabye .....well those are my 2 cents

That's correct. We faced the same problem last year. It is not possible to solve without a complete new arena or complete rebuilding the one in Tahraji Desert. Moreover, it is completely impossible to control.

 

Perhaps a single map that is a Roman Coliseum (But within the common EL design) for both contests

and to allow Spectators to watch large PK battles? An Arena is excellent, but even the previous contest

proved the existing arenas are also not designed for these events. Perhaps something unique that allows players to observe invisible (No rendering) and separate local chat from the fighters and 'ringmaster'.
