No. If you want that new ore, ten you gotta take a chance to get it. If the ore is put out in a safe spot right away, it will flood the market, hence driving the price down Like with the old pk cave in NC. Yea I like the easy iron there, but it has made iron to abundant now, cause it's so damn easy to run it back to storage from there and then sell it on market. Bharain Report post Posted March 19, 2006 I like the idea, but i think that for the 1st 30min. a player logs on s/he cannot be PKed, this will be more than enough time for them to go to storage (or no items will be lost during the PK day) and run to safety.see, there's another problem. if you give people enough time to get somewhere safe then they also have enough time to do a disconnect cycle, and stay PK-proof all day... it'd be a pain, but at least it'd be playable... and hence not allowed maybe if it didn't activate until you changed map with the day active, in my opinion if you can stay on the same map for 6 hours and thus avoid the PKing then well played to you Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

With some of the modifications suggested, i believe it is at least livable (so to speak) for any character. 1. inside storages being made safe (would need to look at excessive lag/problems here) 2. a wait time when first logging in, so that one has a chance of knowing at least what day it is before dying! the point of significant log on lagtime is very valid Without these two things, i think this would be nothing but a negative field day! With these changes.....Possible advantages: 1. maybe PK'ers would actually get some GC for doing something positive? There is now little reason for them to do so, except their own good natures. 2. Perhaps non PvP players would get to know some of the PK'ers and there might be less antagonism between the classes here? Also, would give the non-PK guilds an actual reason to have friendly/alliance with more guilds. As it is, there really is little reason, especially with market prices so low already (very little room for deals between allied guilds). So....I guess i will wait and see!! I voted no because there is already a place for PK, and this day will interfere with every other activity in game except sitting around the beam chatting. Other days only interfere with one activity at a time, or harm everyone equally. If you want something to benefit PK'ers, make it so that if they die, they get respawned at the map entrance for a day, on PK maps only. Or something that directly benefits them without messing with the rest of EL. Otherwise, I would hope for days that you can not access storage, you could only buy from manufacturers, potion makers and alchemists. How is that suddenly a player gets to have his way without donating money to the game? How is it that suddenly the developers have time to do something other than what they were already planning to do? What about perception, the alchemy god, the harvesting god, the new harvestables, the new combat system, and all of those other things that are in the works? If you are going to add the new metals to PK maps only then what is the point to LotF day. You already are putting in a permanent money tree for the PKers to start with and now you want to keep this day just so they can have the fun of killing the people they don't like or the people to weak to defend themselves just because they don't want to have to stop playing the game? Why not make the day worth having with only outdoor places PKable? How is it that 'most' players are PKers and the PK maps are always empty keep being said by the PK side of the argument? The last time I checked if there are sooo many PKers then you do not need this day because they have as much as they can handle already. If they need this day to have more defenseless targets because people already avoid the PK maps and they are always empty then how is this day going to do anything but make the rest of the maps empty too since people will continue to exactly what they have been doing: avoiding PK areas. You want more pvp you will probably get it with the new metals in PK maps. You will not get more PK by adding this day because everyone will do what they have been doing the whole time: leaving the PK maps empty. This day makes zero sense. It is not fair to the players who become targets and the history the game already shows that no one who does not want to be PKable is going to suddenly change their minds. This is a waste of time that could be used for things that everyone does want in the game. I am going to be around for a long time so I will eventually qualify as a target during this day. I have friends who already qualify as targets during this day. Neither I nor they are going to have fun being free money and experience points to PKers without their being any chance we can actually play the game during this time period. Once again if there are the many PKers to appease then their is not enough room to hide. Make outdoor locations PKable and indoor locations safe or do not do it at all for all of the reasons I have listed above. Tirun Collimdus The reason so many people are complaining is because this idea does not make the game more interesting, fun, or exciting for anyone except the PKers who get to do the killing. That day i suggested by Entropy. Hardcore just made a pool of it. 1 in game day surely would hurt EL. ROFL Dont like it? Dont play that day. There was a peace day, and i played it. At least the new metals would make some skills namely attack, defense, magic and summoning more useful. It would make more interesting, because the guild alliances would be more complex if some guilds cant do everything themselves. And try to make some skills like sum, mag, att, def, if you are just a "humble trader". Maybe you find that interesting and fun. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thank you, but no - if you cannot accept my opinion, don't forgive me; treat me as anyone else you would assail. Keep in mind that whatever mercy you show me, I will return - and this doesn't have to have anything to do with the battlefield. If standing up for what I believe to be right, no matter the cost, brands me a "noob", then I wear that mark with pride - a noob who has managed to play for 14 months, made it into several of the top lists, have the respect of people I can call friend, and build my character with nothing but my own blood and sweat.
