Derin Report post Posted October 13, 2005 IMO red implies the inability to use, where as blue implies something positive (i.e. an 'upgrade' or something). 208879 Blue could also mean "cool" as in frozen.
Placid Report post Posted October 13, 2005 Blue could also mean "cool" as in frozen. 208891 Absolutely, but in this instance it looks to 'kind'.
Sistema Report post Posted October 14, 2005 what about a changing color thingy? or a gradient or what ever it's called. it'd start off as a very dark red, and end up as a bright green at the end?
Roja Report post Posted October 14, 2005 well I like the blue personally. It has a more soothing effect on the eyes. Plus think of how the color red will only enrage the pk'ers or fighters even more when they have to wait to use hteir next potion. The "Blue Screen Of Death" is blue for a good reason
Brom Report post Posted October 14, 2005 I hear toupe is very soothing...Ok now Im just offtopic
Kenneth916 Report post Posted October 14, 2005 Really offtopic... forgive me. Being in a pink room reduces strength by 25% for the first 10 mins of exposure... (and then slowly returns to normal over the next 15)
Lachesis Report post Posted October 14, 2005 I put Derin's colours into the client.
WizzKidd Report post Posted November 10, 2005 not that my opinion matters, but I like the blue and can't wait to see it implemented in my client
Sildegaar Report post Posted November 10, 2005 For that matter I think I like blue better and I'm sure that red will have other uses: could be a background color for weapons and armors indicating how solid they are compared to when they are new/repaired. crusadingknight Report post Posted December 10, 2005 (edited) K, quick patch which fixes cooldown support under Intel GFX cards: essentially, drawing a pic without glColor(1.0f,1.0f,1.0f) colors it. Thus, every item following the cooldown item would be colored. (Ie. in this case everything following the item appears to be on infinite cooldown.) http://rootshell.be/~bremac/patches/cooldown_fix.diff Edited December 10, 2005 by crusadingknight

crusadingknight Report post Posted December 10, 2005 OK, I fixed up the above patch to optimize the number of calls a bit, using the existing glColor3f at the end of the cooldown drawing, but moving it back out into the mode we were using, so it has an effect.
