I would think a rabbit and a beaver would be a reaver... but that causes all kinds of other problems.

It is. Is possible if you use a proccess calles "scrossing", which it comes to be for the plain "crossing", like the "smelting" come to be over the usual "melting" that we all know in these days. :P
