No Brod I would like to see no rost or amour higher than leathers to keep costs to a minimum but hey post your comments and we will see if we can get a workable solution. bkc56 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 I'd suggest you use the idea put forth in the suggestion: "Day of old-school PK". Just as a place to start (sorry for it sounding so negative "no this, no that") you could consider: Weapons: No new weapons (claymore, cutlass, etc), no magic weapons. Armor: No iron, steel, titanium plates sets. TI chain and below. Staffs: none (no BoD, BroD, mage, protection, etc). Crowns: none (no CoL or CoM). Potions: no invisibility. Magic: no invisibility. Rings: no mana-destruction or massive-mana-destruction (what about ring-of-power?). Summoning: nothing above a fluffy (no yeti, chims, giant, etc). Stones: no Rostogol Stones or summoning stones. Basically, a gentelman's agreement to equip to the pre-rost days with nothing that costs over about 10K (less expensive armor and weapons). Mind you when ent makes changes to #war system sub guilds may not be needed. Another thing i was thinking was a War Teams competition. Could use rules developed here for it. People sign up and pay GC to compete. Low lvls could pay less gc than higher lvl players. All interested players are divided into evenly strength teams (Black team White team). and then start fighting (maybe set an objective) after a set time (sunrise?), The GC Pot can be divided up amoungst the winning team. Dunno if the Frag counter thing has been implemented yet though, so bit hard to determine winner if it is not. Edit: maybe some rich manuers could donate some items to beef up the pot and the healers could help out too on the battle field (non pk maps) Just thought of another Plus to this, people can watch the war as they cant be attacked. Watching these sorts of fights back in my newbie days (when i didnt get pked by the ebul pkers) inspired me to train hard. Vanyel Report post Posted November 12, 2006 I would suggest putting some protection for storages AND/OR people that are not willing to be in the Total War. There are guilds that have top fighters as well as top manuers/crafters. Supposingly crafters/manuers aren't very willing to getting killed while fighters wouldn't mind having some entertainment. There are storages in c2 that can be accessed if people need to restock (\o/ c2 ring sales go up ), but im kool if people want to make storages safe too Will need to define the area around the storage so we know what the area is, this may be a bit hard though. I think I lasted the longest with the old-skool stuff, that was also a bit cuz I don't have the money to buy rosts tho. I wouldn't mind doing total war like this, I would enjoy fighting with a good ol' serp and leather again. And if I can find some people around my stats to fight with then it'll be superb! Like i said each stick has two endings and you guys had your time and fun enjoying BRoD. Now the opposite side will enjoy banning you from their fun. Btw mate, if you like this idea why do i still see you with brod in your hand, huh? fullmetal_aj Report post Posted November 12, 2006 really like the idea , and with no col ,magic swords , new swords , mana rings .... that will make it last longer ..... every one is used 2 pk in kf and arenas ,there is beautiful places in c1&c2 that no 1 go to it but if we can fight in villegs (like graham villeg) , castels (wsc), and other places ... that would be coool .... and we could make new ideas to fight there (like what guild can occupite wsc or trassingard fort) and i guess any member from a guild that break the rule , the other guild will make peace , and will never make any contest or war with them again ..
