The_Knight Report post Posted June 12, 2006 My idea is that there is a stone that makes your items not breakable, but does not help with degrading. I think this would really help out for trainers like me, who dont want thier COL to break when trainging on Fem gobs and skellies. It would be a nice add to the Update coming up soon and wouldnt take much work for it to be out with it. I need HP because I dont have enough phys attribute and bringing my COL along with me is a VERY risky thing to do. It could be the same as any other stone, a random event when harvested. I also did some thinking about how this would work with the branch of destruction, and I thought the stone could decrease the chance of the Branch to hit a break. I really hope you will really consider this. Thanks ,Knight

Shouja Report post Posted June 12, 2006 Um... correct me if I'm wrong, but won't this make the Rostogol stone obsolete (since it is far superior in every way)? What do we do with them if this stone gets implemented? Furthermore, what effect would this have on PK'ing? Wasn't the Branch of Destruction introduced purposely to counter the over-protective nature of the Rostogol? If we then introduce an even MORE protective item, it's like the virus-antivirus war... it'll never end. Plus, consider the effect on the market. If equipment was once again unbreakable (even including the degrading percentage), what would that do to the prices of equipment and accessories such as the COL? Also, who would invest most heavily into these new stones - the ones who can afford them or the ones who need them (assuming the two are not identical)? ~Shouja~

Derin Report post Posted June 12, 2006 The breakage of items are there for a reason. If you don't want to loose them, don't use them in dangerous situations.
The_Knight Report post Posted June 12, 2006 (edited) "LOL i've seen you training fem gobs in full plate and COL" Ive never done that, what the heck? Lorck Report post Posted June 12, 2006 LOL, you dont got stats for doing something (training) and you want an item to make it for you? Go work to get your stats like everyone else. And the breakage of stuff was introduce to minimize the market flood of those itens, making them no breaking and people will train only with top gear who never breaks and you can considere the market screwed behind all repair. The_Knight Report post Posted June 13, 2006 (edited) Yeah Whatever, I not getting any support for this, and to Lorck: Reality check I was training all day yesterday to get my PP's I got 300k exp at lvl 33 overall just yesterday so stop accusing me of not working for it! Its just to easy for me to die when I have 55hp and I am fighting things that when they hit they can hit up to 30 on me. Thanks for the support. Someone please close this forum before I get mad, this was only a IDEA that I thoght would benifit alot of people, and It could still be worked out. They could be made so you couldnt be brought into Pk, anyone thought of that? stop looking at the negatives (which can be worked out) and look at the posotives! ,Knight Edited June 13, 2006 by The_Knight
Lorck Report post Posted June 13, 2006 (edited) Gratz for a work well done, i hope more people start to actually training instead of complaining about stuff they dont even understand on the forums. EDIT: You can spend pick points until you reach HP needed for train in your monster. I am against switching the effort for doing something (gaining pickpoints to increase your hp for training) for an uber item who did the work for yourself. Oh, and your solution would destroy an already weakened economy, so your solution is far far worse than the problem (people who are lazy and want to kill monster more easily). m_bee Report post Posted June 13, 2006 YEah, killing a monster is taking a risk, basically. I cant see the risk if you are killing gobs and have 10 times the life points of a gob.

The point is that you shouldn't whine that you can't kill monster that is too powerful for you. I can't kill fluffy without col, and guess what: I don't fight fluffies, I raise my levels with monsters I can kill without col!
Aislinn Report post Posted June 13, 2006 Its just to easy for me to die when I have 55hp and I am fighting things that when they hit they can hit up to 30 on me. Thanks for the support. You shouldn't be fighting things that can hit up to 30 on you then. You are supposed to work your way up...the animals and creatures in the encyclopedia are listed in order according to difficulty.
