Targetted Spells - need some tuning

Recommended Posts

Targetted spells are currently so cumbersome to cast that unless you have to cast it to raise skill, its not worth it.

Spell Casting Icon

Arrange Sigils

Cast

Click on Use Item Icon

... then if your target was nailed to the dirt - they MAY stil be there,

select them with the Mouse use item icon active

and then you finally get to cast it.

Here is a suggestion:

Create an Object class: Targetted Spells

(there arent THAT many)

Object handling code goes like this:

IF Targetted Spell

IF successful

Change Mouse Mode to Use-Item

Not a major rework.

Boy...to me, binary is like trying to understand Tolkien...flat out impossible

(Gets out his "Programming for Dummies" book and scans through it, interpreting Cindy's proposition)

Ah...yea...that would make spell casting a LOT easier :)

so basicly if you have a spell ready for casting the attack sword would change into a wand if your spell is hostile in nature and your targeting a monster or similar? sounds good B)

but i still want a kind of "autocast system" in combat tho. being able to set up maybe 1 or 2 spell(s) so that the char will use them in combat until either etheral points or essences have been depleted.

select your spells carefully :)
