  1. Android or other tablet keyboard

I tried out the Android client. I could not get the keyboard up in console mode. There is always some trick to things in the Android client, it seems. That sort of thing will just piss off and drive away potential new players. When will we get a keyboard summoning icon? For any device without a working physical keyboard, that would be very helpful. https://discourse.libsdl.org/t/on-screen-keyboard-change/19216 This really old article says that it should be really easy to just pull up a virtual keyboard in SDL.
  2. I have been away from the game for a while. I come back and it hits me that the ranks required for various guild commands are out of order. Rank 15 commands should probably be rank 10. Go recruit! Rank 10 commands should probably be rank 19. Guild admin stuff. Rank 19 commands should probably be rank 15 except for #set_short_name. You should only be able to change the ranks to and from ranks lower than you for #change_rank. though. This layout would allow for adding rank to members more easily without fear of them messing with guild administration stuff which really should be rank 19 or 20 only. What do you think? Also, to make sure the changes can be done without too much hassle, #change_rank and #rank should be something you can do to offline members a ways before those changes take effect.
  3. Android client, version 1.0.1

I am surprised you have not gotten a more standard method for opening the keyboard yet. Any plans on it?
  4. Android client, 7th release

In release 6, bone eating did not seem to work. Is that fixed now? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboardmay be somewhat useful. Not like it is convenient, but you can do the turn right, turn left, step forward, tab, ` using that keyboard. You can also do alt-# qnd ctrl-# whih are pointless unless in console. I will go get the newer app now.
  5. Android client, 6th release

Screen space is precious when the screen is small. People will want their inventory, a bag and have a mix all button. With the mix window (which it would be nice to only need it open for setting the recipe), it is a bit hard to see the stuff around you and move around.
  6. Android client, 6th release

What do you mean? What buttons? Mix one vs Mix all, drop one vs drop all, etcThose being buttons on the upper right side of the inventory window. Last I knew, those buttons and right click options as do the windows themselves in the desktop clients.

I think somethin is missing, I did as you said: 1) Make sure EL is not the active app 2) Turn on auto rotate 3) Hold the table on the desired orientation (antennas on the right hand) 4) Bring up EL In the multiapp selector EL show as desired but as soon as is tha active app it rotate upsidedown. I repeat turning off auto rotation before 4) and it work! Now EL keep in my desired orientation. Thank you very much. Sorry. I thought I had the instructions worked out and worded right. Oh well, you seem to have it figured now.
  8. Android client, 6th release

Yeah, X's are hard to hit. That is for sure. How do we change the options for the buttons when they have multiple possible options on the desktop client?
  9. Android client, 6th release

You can not type messages when the store or mix windows are open. I believe that is due to search features on those windows.

After using a teleporter in DP, I tried to map walk. It refused. Maybe it did not record its new coordinates so the near walk command failed. After a few attemps and switching between render mode and map mode, I could not get into render mode. I could only use chat and map mode. Of course, I lagged out when making this post and then it had me relog which was unusual because it usually just reconnects after grue.

What are the two shaded boxes at the ledt edge of the screen?
  12. Android client, 6th release

Whenever you rotate the screen in CrunchyRoll (that is an anime viewing app), if it detects that the render is upside down, it will rotate the render 180° so that it is right side up. The EL app does not have that ability and seems to be based on what was "up" for the home screen when the EL app was last made the active app. On a side note, I did not try first person mode yet, but it would be cool if the tablet gyro sensor determined where the camera was aiming.
  13. Android client, 6th release

Hmmm...while it does not handle landscape mode as gracefully as the Crunchyroll app, I think I found out something useful about how it handles landscape mode. Make sure EL is not the active app, turn on autorotate, hold the tablet in landscape mode with the jacks/antennas in the left or right side according to preference, bring up the EL app and then turn on landscape mode if you want. Repeat if necessary. I hope that helps.
  14. Android client, 6th release

If you switch to another android app to check an incoming email or something, the client stops and will lag out if you take too long. Any chance of preventing that? It would be nice if the game was still running minus the graphics when the EL client is not the active client. The SDL logo shows instead of the EL logo in the app drawer.
