I got a bit surprised when Wytter voted for Denmark, but reading the rest of his post, yeah, I recognize what he's talking about, and those are some of the reasons for not selecting this country. Being more right wing, I wouldn't say that the right wing politicians are the problem. It's politicians in general. Sometimes I believe that to become a politician in Denmark, you have to score a negative value on an IQ test. Oh, and the weather here sucks too, 90% of the time. Well actually I just needed to vent some frustrations, and this was a good thread to do write this in I do not think that Denmark is a particularly good country, and I simply do not know what country qualifies as being good The way I understood the topic we were to vote for our own country hence I wrote my views on what Denmark has become. There is always going to be something wrong with the government. The better the weather, the more bugs there will be. Only which 50 are the top of the list, and which 50 are the bottom. I live in the US, so might as well throw in my 2 cents about American 'freedom'. While the adults, as a group are free to make whatever changes there are, individual freedom doesn't go so far. A single person can't change legislature. (good or bad? don't know) and kids are forced to spend their best learning years in the worst place for learning: American schools. Bah, more like American torture traps. crazy teachers, obsurd requirements, the most pointless assignments you can dream up (Example: in chemistry we had to learn how to name an element or compound that no one has ever seen before. Can I get a show of hands on the number of people who have needed to know that? what is it, like .000001% of the population? perhaps, if we stretch it, 1 million people out of the 12 or so billion that has ever lived on earth. but we still spent a week learning it.) Yep, all around, America has some freedoms other places don't have, but too many beaurocratic and administrative morons who ruin it all. One day in 1884, God tipped all of America. Everybody who wasn't smart enough to grab onto something fell to California. (just so you know, I'm pretty skinny ) You're right, Spain did have lots for a while... course, if we're being fair, the Arabs (right term here?) conquered a lot of area too. I didn't mention Rome cause it was said earlier.
