Frodewin Report post Posted December 6, 2007 (edited) First: I would like to thank the team for their great effort in providing such a game. I use 1.5.0 beta on Windows XP (german edition). Client is installed in C:\Programme\EL el.ini is in "Eigene Dateien\Eternal Lands\main\el.ini" #data_dir was incorrect after installation, but I fixed it. At every startup I get this entry in error_log, but without a crash: [12:19:17] Using the server profile: main [12:19:29] Could not load a channel list for language code de. Using the english set instead. [12:19:29] * server www.eternal-lands.com filename http://www.eternal-lands.com/updates150/files.lst [12:19:29] Downloading http://www.eternal-lands.com/updates150/files.lst from www.eternal-lands.com [12:19:29] Finished downloading http://www.eternal-lands.com/updates150/files.lst [12:19:29] Fehler beim Anlegen des buffers: Invalid Name [12:19:29] * server www.eternal-lands.com filename http://www.eternal-lands.com/updates/custom_files.lst [12:19:29] Downloading http://www.eternal-lands.com/updates/custom_files.lst from www.eternal-lands.com [12:19:29] Finished downloading http://www.eternal-lands.com/updates/custom_files.lst Sound and music are installed and usually work fine. 1st problem: Sometimes the client crashes. The error_log then just contains an additional [12:08:37] Client closed 2nd problem: When I enter #current_song it causes the client immediately to crash without any entry in error_log.txt It does not matter if music is enabled or not.
