Lorck Report post Posted April 10, 2007 (edited) As i heard of, the engineering skill is used to fix damaged armor and weapons and in the construction of traps. It would be interesting to roleplay an artificer who creates devices capable of attacking people like homunculus and golems, etc. There would be, obviously, an overlap between the skills of engineering and summoning, so i would suggest a minimal level of summoning to make them. There would be some advantages and disadvantages between the constructs and other summoneds: -Because of their metal body, they would be far more resistant to damage then regular summoneds; -To control them it would require concentration, so you could only control a certain number of them based on your rationality attribute; -Since they are machines, they cannot be affected by the charm cross attribute; -And since they would require expensive metal parts and suffer some restrictions, it also would be interesting if they could follow their master when they change maps. A command to make them stop, so the player does not break the rules for bringing them to storage, would be handy. Edited April 10, 2007 by Lorck

Scorpius Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Interenting idea... something to think about... somehow sounds me like a new nexus (mechanical nexus) I wouldnt make it that easy actually.. I would suggest requiring artifical and magic nexus to it.. that make you think about more if you want to spend pp/buy the nexus. would be a tuff decision. Anyways i like the idea

Entropy Report post Posted April 10, 2007 It's a good idea, but given the fact that it requires a lot of work (new models/textures/coding) I am not so sure abut it. But I'll keep it in mind.
