AVATAR problam [SOLVED]

HI dudes

 

how can i put my own avatar instead of the ones they give u the pic i have now is the cat but i want to put my own pic in there how can i do this?

Click the 'My Controls' link at the top right then go to the 'Efit Avatar' section (Link on the left menu that appears). You have to upload your desired avatar to services such as photobucket or http://imageshack.us.

 

Once you've uploaded to the photo services, paste the link they give you in the Avatar settings page in "Enter a URL to an online avatar image" box.

 

And, voila!

You store the picture you want to use as an avatar somewhere, like photobucket.com, then specify the URL to that picture in your forum profile, avatar settings.

 

Please read forum rules to find out which pics are acceptable as avatars, depending on style, size and so on.

hi there , i have a problem with my avatar

that mean the url is too long ??? or am i missing something ?? plz tell me

and your siggy is too big (too tall and too large a filesize)

and sorry about my seg .... it was 100kbyte .... and when i read the rule it say 50k is allowed

Ah now I see your problems:

the avatar is too big (irrelevant but still..)

the text entry field in your controls won't allow a line that long - bingo we have a winner..

Here are the rules for avatars and signatures

 

Avatar

Your avatar must be no bigger than 90 pixels by 90 pixels in size.

Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 50 KB.

The following file types are allowed: gif,jpg,jpeg,png

 

Signature

Keep signatures limited to any combination of text and images that doesn't exceed 80 pixels of height and 640 pixels of length. Signatures must be no larger than 50 KB. Do not use flashy, hectic or annoying pictures.

What can and cannot be included in signatures and images follows the same rules and regulations as anything else posted in these forums.

 

 

 

Keep this in mid and you should be fine.
