What do u look for in a goog mmorpg

Well i was just wondering what the people of EL think makes a good mmorpg, and what makes a bad one, comeon, ideas people

A good one to me would be on with lots of people, sort of simalar to EL but better graphics...

what makes a game good or bad, hmmm

 

Good:

-lots of ppl to talk to

-good graphics (helps, but isnt required)

-lots of stuff to do

-good minigames

-mods who take part in the gme that they are supposed to be regulating (same with game creators)

-lots of character interaction

-lots of places where you need teamwork

-rules are not too hard to figure out

-people playing who have at least a room temp IQ

 

Bad:

-idiots, plain and simple

-rules too hard to learn

-ppl who cant go a single paragraph's worth of text without swearing or flaming.(you would be srprised how many ppl like this ive met, even in real life!)

-ppl who never shut up

-beggars

-scammers

-bagjumpers

-spam, and i dont mean the good kind that comes in a can

-ppl who cant spell

-game creators and mods are not involved in the game

-not many ppl

-not much stuff to do

 

ok, thats what makes a good MMORPG, now, what makes a goog one?

btw, this should have been posted in the misc. forums.

 

Good:

- Great Community who are always kind and generous.

- Great Devs/Admins/Mods/NH's that are always there to help

- Good graphics

- Good story/history/background

- Good Gameplay/Teamplay/RolePlay

- A large variety of monsters/items/equiptment

- Being able to interact in many ways

- Crossover between items/equiptment ("use with")

- A nice pack of quests

- Open for help.

 

= EL ^_^

 

 

Bad

- Scammers/Spammers/Beggers

- n00b admins/mods/devs/nh's who don't do what they are suppose to.

- Rules are just there to stare at, no one listens, no on cares.

- No quests, not much interaction.

- RS..

- Bad community, no one helping out, acting rude, etc

- No constests what so ever

- You get the point

In all seriousness, I was thinking earlier about RPGs and MMORPGs - the exact thing that can make a great RPG would likely make a horrible MMORPG... more detail later, now, I'm skimming the forum b4 I fall asleep.

good gameplay

no cheaters

A good game has players and NPCs that are of equal intelligence.

 

A good game isn't necessarily realistic (after all, we play to escape the real world) but it must be consistent.

 

In a good game, gravity is optional.
