  1. Hi, I would like to make a sort of survey. Question: How much would you be willing to pay for a Rostogol Stone? Or rephrased: What price do you consider to be a fair price for both, the sellers and the buyers? Please answer only in 5kgc steps. Thanks. So let me start then: 40kgc.
  2. I have to agree with RM there, I have seen rostos for 60kgc then they rose up to 80kgc. Then suddently they dropped back down to almost 60kgc and now again back up to 80-100kgc. So I can imagine that there were some bots invovled in those price changes. Or how would you explain that the price did drop again after it already was at 80kgc. I think that this first rise to 80kgc was made, but then dropped again as there were still enough rostos around. Question is if the current price right now is made again or if there really is that lack of rostos that would drive the prices up. On a side node: How do you like the suggestion i made previous (no one but Maxine replied so far)
  3. This topic was actually ment to make a survey. But as people have started to also try to supply some suggestions to the topic I will also misuse this topic to write down a idea I had this morning. How about introducing an item called: Rosto Splint. I would think of those Splints worth around 10kgc and one splint only protects gear of human nexus 1. 2 splints protect human nexus 2 gear 3 splints .... and so on That way if you don't have such a high end expensive gear you also dont need that much gc to protect it. If you die and have a rosto it will burst into rosto splints and you have a chance of xx% to keep rosto splints. So maybe you end up with 3 out of those 8, thus dieing with a rosto doesn't hurt so much. Also those rosto splints can be found harvesting or from mobs (maybe more frequent than rostos do, for the smaller players def. a nice feature, as they only need splints) In oder to limit the splint price to go up, make NPC sell it for 10kgc each. Also: make 8 individual rosto splints joinable (what ever skill ) back into a rostogol stone using EEE (merging something as powerful as a rosto splint needs a lot of energy ). That way if you loose a few rostos, after like 7 deaths or so (depends on percentage mentioned above) you have chance to craft yourself a free rosto, or if you dont want, just sell to newer players that cant/dont want to afford a full rostogol stone. What you think?

    Just been adding up s2es from http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59552 for his first post was 289 and for the second part was 1422 s2es ... and there anyone says hydro running is dead The latter was within 2 months, thats an average of 23.7 s2es a day he gets/got. So almost 3 hydro nexus in 2 months. I have to agree with Patriot there, that adding on top the armor drops its a very profitable business he is doing there. @ stivy any recent updates? EDIT: I just noticed the update is only about 2 months. So the s2es drops are across 9 months. So average of 5.26 s2es a day and almost 3 hydro nexus within 9 months. This ofc makes that business not thaat profitable ...

    Generally I don't see the market of FE/ iron bars affected by this much. I agree that s2e price got affected. Steel bars lowered 5gc each but still thats not too much. Iron bars are still more or less 50gc/ea. Using the iron bars for other skills like engineering where they are heavily used still keeps the economy for making them. Regarding FEs I have known them for 5gc ever since i played (yeah im not one of those 10 years players ). Why is 5gc nuts? If your a low level player u can sell FE for good money. If you need FE as low level player you can easily mix for yourself. If your a high level player and can't be bothered to mix FEs, then just buy them Farming the money from mobs to afford the FEs shouldn't be a problem for higher level players. @ vino yes my calculation didn't consider some costs. I agree that you would need some more items running hydro than u needed back when NH was campig hydro path. But 5 Invis spells is a bit too much i think. Also one would either let a high level mix the bars or /and wait for recycle to cover any potential crits. Nevertheless I agree that there is a situation now where players prefer not to run anymore but rather buy from npc. I also strongly doubt that stivy "are" camping hydro path for radu. I rather think they do it because they can. They do it for the pure fact that they have some impact on the game. Again I don't think that the economy got affected by it that much as some might point it out. 5gc less per bar isnt much, npc's buy for 35gc so we still can sell them for better. Will there be any chance soon? We don't know but I strongly assume that stivy will continue to block that path to the best they can. I also know that there are high level players that can kill stivy/uzb and are able to clear the path for the rest of the community but if they can't be bothered I guess the rest of the 90% of EL community has to go and buy from npc. (Isn't bad either, takes out money out of game).

    I don't think that it was that few before. I remember s2e sold for 1240gc. So 10 swords is 12400gc-15000gc (bar) which is a profit of 2600gc. Consider this for the 50 bars one nexus needs. Running the swords would save you up to 130kgc. I don't think that 130kgc is few. But yeah with that higher risk right now, ppl rather buy the hydro bars. With s2es sold for sometimes only 800gc the paradox situation is that for every two successfull run s2es one could afford losing one and be at same rate as if not losing any at cost of 1240gc. So with that lower price you only need to successfully run 2/3 of the swords. Yet less people run.

    So here my photos of that nice event . After the fast slaughter in KF and the winning team RED, it was time to move on to the 1vs1 last man standing round. Spectators gathering to watch the fights in the dpa 40 arena: Starring RabbitmanPKC and LittleLooterPKC in and interesting fight: For the final we moved on to the WS arena: The final fight demanded a long breath from the spectators but it was interesting to see the different strategies: Gratulations for the winner: CaduceusPKC and I hope we had all fun. Maybe we get a bit more balanced teams for the first round (team vs team) So looking forward to see you all for Wizzys second - already announced Contest.

    As much as I like that idea i know that its not good to have such a feature from other mmorpgs. As its easily abused to raise low level chars, thus destroying the hard work of others who did the leveling on their own.

    Hi, we had yesterday again a discussion of how to create money sinks. Best money sinks, are 1-time use items so that gc doesn't get rotated but actually taken out of the game. Another suggestion to create such a money sink would be the feature of a guild storage. To maintain the access to that guild storage there would be a monthly ingame fee of XXXXX gc which has to be in the storage at the time of payment otherwise the storage will be disabled and needs to be unlocked through an NPC (slight higher charge) again. The access to the guild storage would be like accessing any other sto (maybe a tab in the sto window to switch between own personal sto and guild sto). (Also hazard sto for guild hazards!) This storage is not a BOT! Its just a game feature as the normal storage. Only members of the same guild can access same storage. This means for the database just 1 additional storage per guild. Maybe one can even link that to a certain member size of the guild ... but with alts ... meh! To give some of the unused guild ranks more sense one could make that only certain guild ranks have access to the storage, that way guilds can prevent some abuse or getting robbed by new members As this is a service/ingame feature, ingame gc will be taken out of the game at a monthly rate. At the same time this feature might make bigger guilds more attractive, thus preventing the creation of multiple smaller guilds (less mess ). And as this will be a feature, if you don't like it, you don't need to use it! My main motivation for this was to enhance guild activities and common projects, as well as find a way the whole guild can profit from the guild wealth. At the same time those storages don't function as bots, so radu still can sell trade bots as usual. So share your opinion, with me please. Maybe I have overseen something how that can be misused, if so please list it here and we can think about it. Also tell me if you like that idea and why! Kind regards

Suggesting that "robbing a bank" is an alternative to earning your money by working is a statement too, but its not legal by the laws (at least in my country .     Well i guess "Nexus removal stones" aren't mixable to begin with. So that NPC wouldn't change market of mixable items as ironically mentioned by saxum. At the same time i don't think the idea to create this NPC is to kill the market. It's main purpose is (if i understood that correctly) to provide a huge money sink. So I don't see where this idea makes it harder to level or does kill the market as written by pati2.

    So you tell me here that it is allows within the game rules and by radu that a guild has an alt in order to have a guild storages, whereas radu could sell storage bots?? Sorry if I ask that again and again, but it just sounds a bit unreal to me. If you are right and it is the case then I agree with you that this is a nice alternative for guilds. So why is Radu selling storage bots then?? The guilds gc I want to sink . I don't know about your guild and can only tell from mine. Current state is that my guild has some spare gc rotting at the moment. I am sure a guild storage would give a common guild feature (give some guild ranks a meaning) from which every guildie can profit (thus all guildies feel responsible too keep that feature alive). In such a storage drop books, shared top level armor etc can be stored and made accessible to guildies at all times (according to rank level).
  20. Hi, I just came up with an idea which could make PK more interesting again. Having lots of special days by now, my suggestion would be to remove all those 2X exp days and day stones. Instead of those days, for each day there exist artifacts (1 artifact per day). Given some C1 pk map, so either KF or TD, there would be one shrine. "Using with" the artifact on that shrine triggers the effect of that special day. Conditions of artifacts: Artifacts have special spawns (in bags) on that map. All artifacts remain inside that pk map! If one has an artifact in his inventory and dies, the artifact gets dropped into bag, even with rosto. If someones leaves the map at flag, ttp, rings or any other way the artifact remains in a bag at the point where the player left the map. Effect of artifacts: Instead of giving 6 hours of 2x exp. Each artifact only works for 1 hour and then poofs just to respawn on the previous mentioned spawns in a new bag. Depending on what artifact it is, this skill gets 2x exp during that hour, while all other skills get only 1/2 the exp. (This ensures some competition about different interests ppl have -> PK). Even more PK: To enforce more team work, some ppl need to guard the shrine in order to ensure the full hour, because as soon as another artifact is "used with" on the shrine, the old one poofs (as described above) and the hour for the new one starts till it ends, or gets replaced. Of course we still have normal special days (Day of Lenny, Green Day, Non drop day, half cooldowns, etc. ...) , which means the shrine only works on ordinary days! In order to know the current status there should be a command (#shrine) to see what current effect there is and how many minutes more it lasts till its over. So ... I hope I didn't forget to write down anything and as always I'm happy to hear about your opinions, ideas, suggestions and alternations. Kind regards

    I am not sure if we talk about the same OA range here. I don't talk of OA 100 alts, rather way lower ones. And to be fair gaining OA 30-40 wouldn't take too long. I can see where your "repeatedly" comes in mind. I didn't want to suggest to always have an alt to level up to range X overcapping throwing away that alt just to make a new one. Rather I would make this OA capped PK zone the way that you dont gain XP there! pure PK no leveling. That way everyone can decide when he/she wants to proceed to the next OA range. During the training time you have the same benefit as with a normal char. You can drop rare items from monsters, you will get drop gc, you can do dailies (leveling+gc) ... I totally agree with you that some of the alt names already are ridiculous and don't fit an RPG at all ... but this is not a problem caused by my suggestion but a problem of players being uncreative! Don't get me wrong, but isn't leveling up and alt for making a bot also just one SINGLE purpose? Maybe this purpose means more to you than PKing but that is up to everyone him/herself then what values more to them. And of course those alts are completely different as they follow a different purpose I can understand that you prefer to also PK with your main char and I have never said that I only want to have lower chars to PK. I said I want to start with lower chars as there the condition of "balanced PK" is easier to make than for the high level ranges already. If this concept works I said that we can then try to transfer that onto higher level chars. Sorry Maxine I have totally overseen that part of your post. (I hope it was edited in later, or else I really should get some glasses ). To be frank i quite much like your suggested idea there. The random spawning bags with gear made me smile and reminded me of the "hunger games" somehow. I would suggestion in addition to that to make this gear not too high (otherwise things could get imbalanced again too much). What I don't like so much is that the amount of XP depends on your fee you pay. Again players with much money will pay themselves the best starting position which makes this unattractive for new players. Earn your benefits (e.g. find the gear in bags) and not buy yourself a better position with money from the begin with. Your suggestion of the benefit (gc in this case) is nice, but I can imagine we would need maybe an even stronger motivation for people to take part. How would you balance this system for e.g. rangers, mages, summoners? what about essences for HEs etc. Is it possible to bring in stuff or does all have to be earned in there? One down side which you have already mentioned yourself is that it a bit to implement . The entrance of x players and teleporting to map Y including having a non drop map, I assume that this can be done more easily as similar functions already exist. The creation of an char somehow already exists too (initial char creation or ants). So out of the blue I wouldn't think it's that much unreal to realize it, yet I don't know and would like to hear some opinion from Radu or Learner or who else is involved . Generally I think we have distilled now those 2 conditions we need in order to create a PK everyone can have fun in. Now it is our task to come up with ideas, and describe them in much detail as possible. ( I really would like to make a separate thread for that only containing the description of the idea, nothing else and hold the discussion in here ).

    Can I take it from that, that it is allowed to have an alt whose password is shared amongst the guild for the purpose of having a guild storage? The idea is that the storage is funded by the guild, not by certain guildies. This includes e.g. to host guild events (strengthens the bond within the guild to raise money, or use drop money from neno/badaran hunts done by guild) The idea of a guild storage is, so that items from higher level players such as drop book can be offered towards lower levels, or good armor can be shared and used (so far this guildie currently holding that items needs to come/be online in order another can use it). Simple, if it gets locked, unlock it, if a guild can't afford that, better think twice if that guild wants to use that feature. Every (smaller) guild still can say it won't use that feature, maybe others want to for the reasons I have just mentioned a few lines ago. The will never ever be a 100% sure solution to players with bad thoughts. I have read into that story, bad/sad thing but where there is trust there is always the possibility to misuse that trust. Making common hyperbags are also prone to be misused, even when I do a personal trade with a player I can just ask for lending a NMT and vanish And as you have noticed I suggested some ways to minimize that such things happen too easy, yet you can never be 100% sure that they don't. I can't state of how much effort into coding that would be. Unless we know how things are implemented behind the scenes we all have to assume certain structures. If anyone here KNOWING this, please let us know how much effort that would be!! I am addressing the problem of creating another money sink. Not how radu can pay the servers. If those two interests conflict with each other then I would like to hear that from him! I have no idea how much he ears from sto bots and if the tradeoff with a money sink is more important to him (money sink btw also can mean that people will buy more $-items so get back money, thus bringing it into game again). I haven't suggested the amount of the fee yet, so choosing the right amount could result in a nice equilibrium of money put into the game and money taken out of it - consider this as an adjusting screw. Correct me if I'm wrong, so far I only know that this system is accessible to guild that have someone who pays $$ for it. I don't know if radu also accepts gc (converted ratio) for that. Besides the sto bot has to be summoned and thus if anyone wants to use it, a guild member with the rights has to be online. My suggestions makes the storage to all guildies at all sto available yet limits access to certain items through ranks. Not sure what for the logging is good, besides to see WHO stole something -> yet it doesn't prevent it. If the sto bot has some sort of logging, if it is wanted it also should be possible to introduce some kind of logging into my suggestion of a guild storage. The contrary effect would happen. As a one player guild you also would have to pay those fees yourself. As mentioned in my first post, I rather assume that my suggestion results in less small guilds, as new players might be attracted to join a bigger guild with that feature. Less overall guilds = less data stored on server. An additional way to create a further money sink. I don't see a reason why my suggestion and this idea should exclude one and another.     We talk about two separate conditions here. Having a balanced PK and having a motivation (competition for reward) for PK. As long either of the two isn't met, there will be no PK in my opinion. Your example satisfies the first condition but not the latter - no motivation was there, hence didn't get used. Sorry to say so, but I think that in this case you are one of the few this applies to. Seeing that many people have harvesting alts by now I think people in general do invest time into a sole purpose alt: Harvesting requires harv level, and also some items require knowledge (gc spend on alt) and some people even have mixing alts for lower essences or alike: exp goes into alt and not main. My suggestion doesn't force everyone to have an PK alt, but gives everyone the chance to have one fairly easy when they want to have one. If one doesn't want one, all stays the same and the player can continue doing with the main whatever wanted.

    So far what i understood from those caps is that a/d gets lowered to that cap and what I had in mind was to make it only accessable (walk into) for players with a/d <= that cap. It makes a huge difference if a 150 oa goes into there with p/c/whatelse maxed and a/d reduced to cap or if only real a/d capped players go there. As I have suggested about I even would put the cap on OA levels not on a/d. This was exactly my intention in my first thread. As it appears I have overseen that it means a huge draw back for the mixers. So I think we all agree on how to make PK interesting by some sort of competition over a reward. Yet as stated in my last post, the more critical problem is to balance pk first! I agree pki is just a number and thus not a good reward. I suggested the alt version exactly for that reason as it can be made fair more easily. Once that concept works and more people do enjoy PK again we can think of transferring it onto higher levels (mains) Because it's not too much effort to create a low OA level alt for PK And if PK is balanced it surely is more fun as then tactics and stuff like that plays a more important role again. Please let us know what you have in mind. And also list why/how it can be abused, maybe we can find a way to prevent that For the pure reason we have all mentioned now multiple times, as NCA doesn't have any caps, so PK will be unbalanced as high OA players easily can kill lower players, so people just go in for mercury only and without any intention to PK, thus no gear. Kind regards PS: what is bad about having a place you can only enter up to a certain OA for pure PK (competition about a benefit)?
