Starlite Report post Posted September 10, 2016 Warning: ./spells.xml file is out of date expecting 1, actual 0. Can anyone please tell me what this is , I noticed it when I logged in. How do I resolve it, or do I simply ignore it.
Guest Starlite Report post Posted September 11, 2016 Can anyone please reply...I don't get this when I log the pk server or test server,,only when I log in on main.
revi Report post Posted September 12, 2016 First I thought it would be an outdated file (as you were told by others in @6). Perhaps not a problem with that file, but you might have other outdated files around (like maps)Now, no idea. Still might be a good idea to get a fresh download from http://www.eternal-lands.com/page/download.php,back up the old installation (or at the very least the /main, /pk and /test subdirectories) to keep logs etc.,uninstall EL completely and re-install from scratch. Starlite Report post Posted September 13, 2016 k I'm using burns maps, and spells seem to work ok so guess ill leave it as is and not risk doing the wrong thing..just hope it doesn't crash
revi Report post Posted September 13, 2016 It's not Burn's maps that are important here, but the game maps (the *.elm.gz files). You can check if those are up-to-date by having a look at the Irinveron arena. (if you see it on Burn's maps, but not in the game, your elm.gz files are outdated...) But what surprises me is that you don't get the error on test or pk server (Note that, afaik, both test and game server haven't been updated as often as the main server)
Starlite Report post Posted September 13, 2016 I do see the Irinveron arena in game as I had wt daily, it was there,, so no prob with those
EatsAllLife Report post Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) If it is the encyclopedia file. . The error is most likely brought on by a corruption of the file, or other damages to the file.. A simple file replacement, or reinstallation (as Revi suggested) should fix this issue. I may be mis-naming it, it may be named magic.xml, or something of the sort- if so; sorry to waste your time. Starlite Report post Posted September 14, 2016 Well I'm at a total loss to understand it, I backed up EL as suggested, and re downloaded, installed,, only to find I had the same problem. Ill just continue on as before as it doesn't seem to affect anything
