Grayseraph Report post Posted April 19, 2006 (edited) I have one: A man and his son are in an accident. They are rushed to different hospitals to the ER. When the boy is in the ER and the doctor comes in, the doctor says, "I can't operate on him, he's my son." How is this possible? BTW, for the not-so-dull people out there, you only need to pay attention...My friends are dimwits; I just wanted to test this out on you all. crypt1c Report post Posted April 20, 2006 How many times can you subtract the number 5 from 25? ---------------------------------------------------------- There was a family living in a round house. There was a mother, a father, a daughter, a son, and a maid. When the son was murdered everyone was suspects. The father said that he did not kill the boy, he was fixing the car outside. The mother said that she did not kill the boy, she was washing the dishes and cleaning the bathroom. The daughter said that she did not kill the boy, she was in her room all day listening to music. The maid said i did not kill the boy, i was sweeping every corner of the house. Who killed the boy? ---------------------------------------------------------- The cost of making only the maker knows, Valueless if bought, but sometimes traded. The Rich need 'it'. The Poor has 'it'. But if you eat 'it' you'll die. ---------------------------------------------------------- There are three guards and three prisoners who need to cross a river. Each bulb has its own switch and is currently switched off. The room has an entry door and an exit door. There are 100 people lined up outside the entry door. Each bulb is numbered consecutively from 1 to 100. So is each person. Person No. 1 enters the room, switches on every bulb, and exits. Person No. 2 enters and flips the switch on every second bulb (turning off bulbs 2, 4, 6 …). Person No. 3 enters and flips the switch on every third bulb (changing the state on bulbs 3, 6, 9 …). This continues until all 100 people have passed through the room. What is the final state of bulb No. 64? And how many of the light bulbs are illuminated after the 100th person has passed through the room? ---------- Solve! lol.

Shouja Report post Posted April 21, 2006 Yup, it was a volcano. How many times can you subtract the number 5 from 25? As many times as you want to, as long as you still live and can think properly. It's not like the numbers change or anything... There was a family living in a round house. ... The maid said i did not kill the boy, i was sweeping every corner of the house. What goes up, but at the same time goes down, up to the sky and down to the ground, my present tense and my past tense too, lets go for a ride just me and you...what am i? A see-saw? At night they come without being fetched, and by day they are lost without being stolen. Dreams, maybe? There are 100 light bulbs lined up in a row in a long room. The state of bulb 64 can be calculated through the number of factors in 64. That is to say: 1x64, 2x32, 4x16, and 8^2. That gives us 7 people who flipped the 64th switch. So the final state of bulb 64 is ON. There's probably a formula for calculating the number of switches that are on at the end, involving some sort of N!, but I can't be bothered to work it out. ~Shouja~
