korrode Report post Posted September 19, 2006 Hello EL Developers, Just a simple suggestion, Considering the effect on accuracy the iron (-2), steel (-2) and tit (none) platemails have, and the fact that the tit chain offers little over a steel chain but requires a EFE to build, and the fact titanium is very light, it makes sense (IMO at least) to remove the negative effect on accuracy from the titanium chainmail. Thanks for your time, Korrode.
MagpieLee Report post Posted September 19, 2006 yeah I agree. From a rp point of view tit is lighter so it shouldn't hinder you as match.
maximos Report post Posted September 19, 2006 it's still not leather and flexible, so no it should still be -
Cycloonx Report post Posted September 19, 2006 it's still not leather and flexible, so no it should still be -1 Imo a chainmail is more flexible than a platemail. So tit plate should be -2 then?
MagpieLee Report post Posted September 19, 2006 it's still not leather and flexible, so no it should still be -1 Imo a chainmail is more flexible than a platemail. So tit plate should be -2 then? Exactly my point. But the fact that these figures still don't really affect the outcome of hitting and dodging, these figures don't do anything in a real PvP situation. I reckon all armours across the board needs a fixerupper to balance these issues.
Gohan Report post Posted September 19, 2006 This is a fantasy game, use your imagination. This is how it is because... in a fantasy world IT IS POSSIBLE!!! -Blee
ville-v Report post Posted September 19, 2006 it's still not leather and flexible, so no it should still be -1 Imo a chainmail is more flexible than a platemail. So tit plate should be -2 then? No, tit plate is magical Iirc tit plate is meant to be like replacement to mythril plate and tit plate like normal chainmail made of titanium
korrode Report post Posted September 19, 2006 (edited) iron plate = -2 steel plate = -2 titanium plate = 0 iron chain = -1 steel chain = -1 titanium chain = -1 IMO looking at these figures it is obvious that either the tit plate needs to do -2 to accuracy like the other plates or the tit chain has to have no effect on accuracy like the tit plate. Look at it logically. As for the Magical point, the titanium chain is the only chain to require an EFE, surely that gives it a magical staus in comparison to the other chains. I just think that considering the only useful difference between a steel chain and a titanium chain is minimum absorbed damaged is increased by 2, something else needs to be better to warrant the EFE required in construction, even also increasing the maximum absorbed damage by 1, rather than removing the accuracy penalty, would make it more worthwhile. Atlantis Report post Posted September 19, 2006 I agree with this, tit chain has very little difference than steel atm and is 5-6 times the price

Gohan Report post Posted September 19, 2006 Atlantis, maybe you never noticed but second hand tit chain and even second hand iron plate have the same stats as the steel chain, only second hand iron plate has a bit higher disadvantages like the accuracy and stuff. -Blee
