Zaer Report post Posted March 28, 2006 You lose all Nexus, Attributes and Spare Pickpoints. But you keep all your skills, and you also keep any gods that you have unless you take the godless perk.
Derin Report post Posted March 28, 2006 When you reset the following happens: All attributes are reset to default (4) (this affects all your cross attribs, like health, mana, carry load) All perks are lost All OverAll exp is lost All nexus are reset to 0 You do NOT have your pickpoints back to redistribute. They all are lost. You dont lose your skill levels, they will stay. Gods' quests are NOT affected. Once you have finished them (and didn't took later Godless perk or left your gods) you won't have to do them again.
TAWoody Report post Posted April 11, 2006 So the only point of a reset is to get rid of neg. perks? I'm not sure why anyone would do this.
Aislinn Report post Posted April 11, 2006 So the only point of a reset is to get rid of neg. perks? No, the point is to get rid of badly distributed pickpoints wherever you may have put them. Pickpoints are used for more things than negative perks. I'm not sure why anyone would do this. When you've played longer, you'll get it.
anthropologist Report post Posted April 11, 2006 Peple change their focus in their carreer. If u are no longer using a skill, the nexus it requires should be reallocated. Once you gain high levels, those few pick points can represent months of work. There is also the boredom factor. When u get to the pont that your next overall level requires that you kill 2000 of the same monster, a change of pace can be refreshing.
rbclemen Report post Posted April 13, 2006 The key here is that your overall level is reset to the beginning as well, so you don't have to accumulate tens of thousands of exp in order to go up a level. Immagine starting a new character with 23 attack and defence, and the ability to manufacture your own armour........
TAWoody Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Narf, that's all good and true, but you lose the 8 (I think) PP that you get when you create a new character. 8 points to distribute is quite a bit, especially for someone at lower levels. Right?
Atlantis Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Its 5 pickpoints, which amounts to less than 600 exp. Depending on your level, typically when you reset, by the time you get back up to your old level, you would have been 2-4 levels higher. So if you're resetting to get back at least 3 or more pickpoints, its usually worth it.
Mar(c) Report post Posted April 14, 2006 Narf, that's all good and true, but you lose the 8 (I think) PP that you get when you create a new character. 8 points to distribute is quite a bit, especially for someone at lower levels. Right? Well, when you create your character, you get a bit a/d exp to have those skills above 0 (so you don't get beat up by a rabbit). With the a/d exp you get the same amount of oa exp, and with those oa levels you get the pickpoints. So you lose those "free" pickpoints as much as you lose all other other pickpoints when you #reset. Those first pickpoints after resetting are the second easiest pickpoints to get! (The "free" ones when you create your character being the easiest...)
