[patch 185] Click On Spell Text To Select Sigils

After that *** kid erased this post multiple times, I just try again.

No need to look up sigil combination, fast change of spells (good during combat)

See directly what spells you can do (white) , what spells are above your level (gray) and what spells are within the range of your level, but you have not all sigils needed (red).

Then how can magic protection be red while bones to gold is grey :D ...I think you made a typo. :ph34r:

 

PS- Please submit diff files as patches :P

 

PSS- I think this would be better off loaded from a .dat file, so you don't need a recompile whenever a new spell is added.

Magic protection is red : not all sigils are available.

Magic protection is a level 6 spell.

 

You might be mixing up magic protection and magic immunity (lvl 30 spell)

You can still use the old click click click method....

hmm,interesting patch. ill go check it out.

 

it would be best if this was loaded of some file or other yes (preferably human readable)...

Is there gonna be a linux bin?

 

 

Or am i gonna have to recompile from source.....like an old man :)

Can you load it froma dat file? If so, I think someone should merge this patch.

Maybe its even better to let the client request the spell data from the server.

At initializing the client should request the spells from the server, and build the list of spells.

In that way, new spells only need to be implemented on the server (has to be on the server anyway).

If you use a client sided file to read the spell data, you need to update that every time something changes.

 

Maybe someone with access to the server code can check that out. (Ent, Learner)

No, that would waste a lot of bandwidth.

However, sooner or later we will have a way for the server and client to keep in touch with eachother and autoupdate files.
