How to open Source Client?

Recommended Posts

Yah, thanks Cicero. Any other programs aswell?

Sure. vim, pico, joe, jove, ed, kate, kedit, etc. I personally recommend Nedit, I use it for most of my work.

I just wanted to know, how exactly do I open the source client? Anyone know of any good programs?

I don't want to seem like I'm talking down to you or anything, but this question betrays some inexperience with programming and the open source concept.

Do you have a copy of the source code? You know you have to download it from the CVS, right?

Do you have a development environment (ya, you could use any text editor) and compiler? Do you have the library files?

I read the question and thought: Is this guy going to open the executable/binary file and try to make modifications to it?

Again, if you know what you're doing and I just misunderstood the question, no offence meant.

I know exactly we're you're coming from Fred, and you didn't come across offensive at all.

No, I am not experienced with programming. But I do wish to learn, and am currently getting a few lessons.
