I don't want to seem like I'm talking down to you or anything, but this question betrays some inexperience with programming and the open source concept. Do you have a copy of the source code? You know you have to download it from the CVS, right? Do you have a development environment (ya, you could use any text editor) and compiler? Do you have the library files? I read the question and thought: Is this guy going to open the executable/binary file and try to make modifications to it?
