Raz Report post Posted June 3, 2011 I would like to make a list of the books I need to read - #know lists them highlighted to console - but copy paste removes the highlight Can we have - #know <string> -read|unread To allow to search just those read / unread? saxum Report post Posted June 3, 2011 Probably easier to add 2 commands: #known #unknown
BruSu Report post Posted June 3, 2011 that would be very helpfull - and it would be nearly perfect if the books could be sorted sortet by skills
Entris Report post Posted June 3, 2011 Aiming to Not have this problem soon but it would be nice if you could just do #know unread (or something else that does the same thing) to get a list of the books not read instead of getting a lost with 366 lines and then have to scroll through it. bluap Report post Posted June 4, 2011 (edited) I've put a patch on berlios to make this change. The #know command works exactly as before. However, if the first word is "-unread" then just unread books are show, if the first work is "-read" then just read books are shown. Exmaples: #know axe List of matching knowledge: Axe Construction Iron Axe Steel Axe Titanium Axe You have read 3 of 4 matching books #know -unread axe List of matching knowledge: Titanium Axe You have read 3 of 4 matching books #know -read axe List of matching knowledge: Axe Construction Iron Axe Steel Axe You have read 3 of 4 matching books If no additional text is included after the "-read" or "-unread" parameters then the full list of read/unread books is shown. Edited June 4, 2011 by bluap Changed the summary text too.

bluap Report post Posted June 4, 2011 OK, committed to git.
Entris Report post Posted June 5, 2011 Another thing i would love seeing is a "#know total" command so you can get the "You have read *** of 366 books shown" message only and not the whole booklist first if that is possible?
bluap Report post Posted June 5, 2011 (edited) OK, added "-total" parameter too. I've also made it so you can use short forms of the parameters "-r -u -t" or what ever the translations might be as long as they are unique. bkc56 Report post Posted June 7, 2011 And where will this syntax be documented in-game (as in a few weeks/months this post will be buried)?
bluap Report post Posted June 7, 2011 (edited) The encyclopedia eventually? And/Or perhaps a single line output with the basic "#know" command: You have read 203 of 366 matching books Use -(t)otal -(r)ead or -(u)nread to select output. That's a great idea; clear, concise instructions appended to command's output.
