Radiation shield eyecandy

Why radiation shield eyecandy works only occasionally? if i cast magic protection, eyecandy shown everytime, so nothing wrong on my system. Those 2 spells eyecandy are very similar, "over the body" like.

Have you checked your error_log.txt file for relevant messages? Could it be the level of detail reduction kicking in because of low FPS?

Nothing special on error log. I feel it happen just random, unlike magic protection spell eyecandy, which works everytime. I tried that different maps,different situations, always same. I can see radiation shield eyecandy only seldom.

I stupidly thought I could not cast this spell but I can with a potion When I tried I did not get the effect either. I know the effect works because I can generate it with the eye candy debug window (needs a special build from CVS). I'll see if I can find out what's happening.

Well, after a lot of essence and potions, it appears that I am not getting the SEND_SPECIAL_EFFECT message from the server when I cast the spell.

I just made some experimentals. When casting basic shield after radiation shield, radiation shield eyecandy starts. and it also continue, when basic shield spell cease. So ordinary shield is trigger it, i cast all other shields, heat, cold, magic protection, and magic immunity, but only ordinary shield starts that radiation shield eyecandy...weird.
