I propose PVP areas with an A\D level cap, starting at the low, and mid ranges. -Low A\D ~hypothetically for newbies just learning the basics of pvp who have low A\D ~Anyone above the A\D cap could not attack or cast spells in the area. -Mid A\D ~hypothetically for the intermediate PVP player who has mastered the basics and is now just fine tuning their builds and skills. ~Anyone above the A\D cap could not attack or cast spells in Area ~However if a somone below the proposed A\D for the area were to enter, they would be able to attack and be attacked at their own risk. Then the original PVP maps would continue to be for all players at their own risk without forcing less skilled players into an area where training can be lethal. I keep hearing how PVP is dead, and I cant help but think this might be a way to revitalize it by giving a broader spectrum of players a chance to become the pvp elite. You must have been inactive for quite a while Desert Pines Arena is capped at 40 a/d and we're about to get a 60 a/d arena right next to it (although one has already existed in Naralik for a long while). The problem you'll face when you go there, though, is that some people have made characters specifically designed for these arenas. The chars are not designed to develop further and dont do any skills that require pp's in nexuses. 'The average player' at 40 a/d has no hope against these people. Had level limited arenas all the way up the a/d scale all been put in at the same time, all right near each other (PK City) we probably wouldn't have these Arena specific chars and your desired effect from your suggestion might be reality... ...but thats just not how it happened Edited July 11, 2008 by Korrode Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Or even just a map where u can only att +/- 10CL ...but the ultra high level pk'ers are always big-time against such ideas. "i didnt train 5 years to not be able to pwnt everyone" etc. I really dont get it, i much prefer fights with people +/- 10CL from me Guess that doesn't rule out some CL based limited arena's for low to mid level a/d'ers tho ^^ EDIT: or, what would probably work best, a map where it's +/- 10CL but only up to 200CL. I'd like that currently if I enter a pk map I get just ganged by people a lot stronger than me, which is why I stopped to enter pkmaps at all. that's (except for brod) my main reason to stay out of pk.
