korrode Report post Posted March 10, 2008 (edited) I'm interested to hear everyones opinions and speculations on how much damage they believe is absorbed per 1 toughness. I think it's 1 to 1 (i.e. 1 toughness absorbs 1 damage), but it's somewhat hard to test... what's everyone else think? ville-v Report post Posted March 10, 2008 As I said, get 2 chars with exact a/d to test server, let other have 4 toughness and give other vitality one by one, log all the damages.
korrode Report post Posted March 10, 2008 (edited) hey i've given out enough info to people based on my extensive testing over the years, time to ask for some back Plus, it's not as easy as just doing that, crit to hit VS crit to dmg hits make it hard to test. EDIT: And, i have done testing, with 22 toughness clops used to crit me for nearly 30 damage, now with 30 they crit me for no more than 20. Still i cant know for sure if it's only toughness making that difference, the ~30 def levels could be having some effect too Edited March 10, 2008 by Korrode

vytukas Report post Posted June 21, 2008 From my experience, 1 toughness reduces 0.6-0.7 dmg
Tempest Report post Posted June 21, 2008 afaik a/d doesn't increase the dmg you do, only the hit/block rate. and vytukas is right after what i calced (if thats right, lol). 0.6~ dmg reduction every 1 thoughness. pretty much noticeable on yetis
daiske1 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 so if something is hitting 40's on me. If i get around 43 toughness it won't hit me anymore.
Aphistolas Report post Posted June 21, 2008 (edited) so if something is hitting 40's on me. If i get around 43 toughness it won't hit me anymore. ...Please learn to read. #calc 43 * 0.6 Round to the nearest integer if you want a reliable number.
