TAWoody Report post Posted April 4, 2006 I ended up figuring out how to sit by mistake but I had been searching for the command to do it since it's not listed on the Commands menu in the help. Definetly should be added.

Tantu the keystroke is Alt+S if you havn't figured it out. And I agree it should be added to the site...I didn't see it either.

Even the game itself states that many often do not use the manuals. Everytime I log in this is the message I get: Connecting to Server...Hi, and welcome to Eternal Lands! If you're new to the game and need help, please read the newbie helper guides on the main website. If you would rather learn by doing, talk to the Tutorial NPC, which is at the start point. In addition to that, you can type #help_me and your question to get a live response if there are helpers online. Click on the screen to continue! Reading the manuals is not manditory and although may help in some situations, is by no means a "cure all" for knowledge pertaining to the game.

TAWoody Report post Posted April 5, 2006 Actually I did read, word for word, both of those manuals looking for a sit command because I was getting annoyed with having to click on the button down below. But I agree that many people don't look through either manual. What if we were to make it mandatory to at least look through the manual before registering for the game? There's got to be a way to implement that into the registration. :-)

ttlanhil Report post Posted April 6, 2006 wuts so bad about clicking "sit" on the interface?it's a lot slower for people used to the keyboardpersonally, I use the mouse when I need to select one of a number of options that can't be done quickly via keyboard, like which tile to walk to, and the keyboard for almost anything with a hotkey (but then, I am a computer geek, and i know designing an interface for me means it's not as good for most people)
