F2 Support / Win XP SP2

Recommended Posts

Ok, I've heard that F2 support (pulling up the last url listed during chats) is now supported with Windows XP SP2 but I've yet to get it to work with my system.

in me el.ini file I have:

#browser = "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

And I've verified and re-verified that is the correct path. But it does not work. Any thoughts?

Did you check it with a proper link? sometimes its nice to check, say to yourself http://www.google.com then hit f2 and hope that it works.

read your el.ini carefully :D

Here is where you give the path to your favorite browser.
Default browser is IE, but you can easely change it.

Note that, because of Micro$oft's infinite wisdom, invoking a command is done differently
in Win9* and in Windows NT(tm) ® ©, so you have to manually select how to invoke your browser.
Be sure to have only ONE selected browser, otherwise the current browser thingy is likely not
to work.

For Windows NT/2K/XP
browser = "start iexplore.exe"

For Win9*
If you don't use quotation marks, the spaces will be stripped.

#browser = "c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

#browser = "start firefox"

works fine for me with firefox

#browser = "start opera"

works fine for me with opera

#browser = "start iexplore"

works fine for mr with internet exloder (ph34r...)

<_<

edit: BTW, for some explanation, in Win XP it doesn't work cuz of the "Program Files" thingy, since " " means delimiter of arguments, so it thinks "Files/blahblah" is argument to the command C:\Program ;) i love micr0$0f7 2...
