OK, I have updated this patch. It makes the code a LOT cleaner, though it looks different now. I think I do like the smaller bars better, but I do not want to move the skill texts around. Here is a picture
This way we do not have to mess with the clock at all. It just puts the bars into the background.

Bethel 117x178. Cave above ladder. When you exit this cave, you are at the archway down below instead of at the ladder. Not sure if this is intentional

Ok, I made the clock patch now. It allows you to disable the analog clock, and improves the clicking on the clocks. Previously you could not click on the digital clock to get the seconds. Now you can. https://developer.berlios.de/patch/index.ph...6&group_id=1256

Well, I never like screwing things up! 0ctane is already getting requests to add this to the OSX port (which he refuses to do rightfully so). I will improve this in a couple iterations so that it conforms better to the overall hud design (separate the clock part,...) But thank you all for your feedback. I plan on submitting a better patch sometime today.

Just a thought if anyone out there wants to have some fun. Check this concept out from an alternate game.
I have been playing with the Google API for my work, and think that a Google Local would be very interesting for EL. Anyone want to give it a shot?

Ok yeah I feel really stupid. My extractor was not overwriting the old files for some reason. Redmoon mine works fine now.
Different error: Redmoon ladder to the guard tower 152x166. If you click the top of the ladder from down below you get this message:
You can't get to the ladder from here.wrong_object_text: Nothing happens.

yeah, I walk right past it up the stairs, though I cannot really confirm that 109 works. I know that 110 and 108 do not and yu fall through the stairs.

Minor thing, the bags in the mine cart push through underneath and are visible.

Yeah, I have to enter one of the buildings and then come back. Now it seems to happen at Raven and Judith also. It may have to do with so many people around. When there are only like 5 people I usually do not have a problem. But it is DEFINITELY correlated with my ATI Radeon video card. I am using the CVS and have had the problem for a while now.
The mouse bug switch does not help, neither the ATI bug flag. This issue has come up a lot in other treads on the forum. Search is your friend.
CVS Today (Feb 1) has got it working. It may be that the NEW_FRUSTUM is helping or something. I do not need the "ATI Bug" or "Mouse Bug" anymore.

LOL! thanks jamin. I have fixed this bug 3 times now as I have switched computers so many times. And I keep restoring from an old copy of my source edits! Dumb copy paste... I will re-fix it and try to remove the clock aspect.

If you are running at 800x600 there is not enough room and it overlaps the OA statusbar. Like I said, I should have separated them into 2 patches...

I submitted a HUD patch today to allow for a graphical indication of level progress in the side bar.

It also will hide the analog clock if you select "digital clock". I probably should have made 2 separate patches...

It would be trivial for a bot to keep the contents separate. There would need to be an authentication mechanism better than the contents. Perhaps the map would need to be specified as well. And you have to tell it at least 3 of the items you dropped. This combination of 4 auth items would make it a lot more unique.
Anyway interesting idea.

For the scholars day today I do not seem to be getting any bonus XP for anything.
I have 15 rationality which normally gives me +7 on skills and that is all I am seeing.

If I am completely wrong about this please let me know.

Ok, maybe I am wrong. I am getting 191xp per gold bar which is a smidgeon more than normal I guess. It was explained to me that every Scholars Day has a different % increase in xp.

Because of the rollback I lost the ability to take this game seriously!
I am actually glad I have to give up those 25 EWEs, because I am sure someone else made a LOT more than me.
I love this game and think that Ent et. al. are doing a great job. Now I need to go make some real $$ to help support the development of it...

that storage problem seems to be with ATI graphics cards under linux (and mac too it seems), and is not mac specific. there is another thread about it somewhere around here.

Yeah, I would only mean to have the maps (at best) at the resolution that Vanyel has made. Putting in all the harvestable items would be lame. It would just be fun to be able to pan around and zoom in a bit. The system would probably be better in the future when continents 3 and 4 come out
