Drakos7 Report post Posted January 31, 2006 Ok, I made the clock patch now. It allows you to disable the analog clock, and improves the clicking on the clocks. Previously you could not click on the digital clock to get the seconds. Now you can. https://developer.berlios.de/patch/index.ph...6&group_id=1256 Let me know what you think. Roja Report post Posted May 9, 2006 I don't agree to disabling the analog clock. It's a part of the interface, the digital clock was never meant to be a full replacement. Clicking on the clock should also tell you more than the time, like the date, and if it's a special random day. Another point is, if you disable it, there will be just an empty place there, right? So what is the point?
Torg Report post Posted May 9, 2006 I don't agree to disabling the analog clock. It's a part of the interface, the digital clock was never meant to be a full replacement. Firstly, I agree with this, however, as I'll cover below... there was a reason for the patch. Clicking on the clock should also tell you more than the time, like the date, and if it's a special random day. With this patch, you can also click on the digital clock. Another point is, if you disable it, there will be just an empty place there, right? So what is the point? Not quite. With this patch, the digital clock moves down, giving more room for the stats on a 640x480 screen. It was originally for the stats bars patch, with the bars below each stat (generally preferred option), rather than what was committed which is to have the bar underneath the stats text. Personally, I like the analog clock and I don't see the need to optionally remove it.
