daiske1 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) If I have the Mage god could I just get the blessing then train with mana drain if I have 30 plus Mage. Edited March 15, 2009 by daiske1
Khalai Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Well, magic potion works this way, so I would guess, that blessing works in the same manner.
daiske1 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 So training this way would better but more expensive.
Shujral Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Blessings are quite cheap. Transportation to/from temple and pk/magic area would be an issue, but the blessing itself (and the quests, for the most part) are not expensive. -Shuj (Full unolas.)
daiske1 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Gd point. But if u use blessing then maybe use a Mage potion so plus 15 then telly to dp then walk to tiriym and u have 5 min to walk to tiriym play mama ping pong. Using Ipod touch to type.
larrystorch Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Blessings and potions do not stack.
daiske1 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Hmmmm so I guess using blessing to train magic wouldn't be as good as Mage potion. Unless you have a guild map entrance near the temple that has a pk map or you rush yourself to a pk map to train.
Khalai Report post Posted March 15, 2009 I know it's hard, but magic potions are more reliable and more aquirable than blessings. You can have 10-20 in inventory and drink as needed. BTW: if you are prepared, you don't need that much of them. I used like 125 of them during levels 35 to 40 (which I made in a hour or so, it's really quite fast and easy), so do not bother yourself to hoard like 500 of them, if you have enough supply of AEs. daiske1 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Well I have Mage 31 so it is hard to train magic. I just use restore while training.
Khalai Report post Posted March 16, 2009 Well I have Mage 31 so it is hard to train magic. I just use restore while training. Get a friend and go find some quiet PK spot with loads of LEs and SRs and practise life drain. TD provides no cooldown for SRs too. It may be costly, but it's good training. You can also cast magic immunity once and then, low cost on essences and good xp too, but consumes rather much mana, so I used it only while mixing or harvesting like dozen of times in an hour. And as from level 35? MD ftw!
daiske1 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 thanks for the tip. But I have no friends waaaaaaaaa
dipi Report post Posted April 22, 2009 maybe the way of take advantage from blessings are bring to the priest the esses and the SRs (and a com if you have it) and cast some spells right at his feet then you can ask for other blessing...
daiske1 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 What kind of spells
Silvatica Report post Posted April 23, 2009 (edited) I went from level 27 to level 40 using life drain against mostly PW - good magic training and give you s2e as drops. PS And no I didn't have magic god. Edited April 23, 2009 by Silvatica
daiske1 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 Ok but how long did it take you?
dewillem Report post Posted June 6, 2009 just fill up with AE's, get your unolas blessing, then teleport quickly to TD or any other pk map with your MD buddy. you'll be able to MD for a few minutes, then tele back and start over. it's much faster then using LD/MI to lvl up to lvl 35. and if you would LD one someone else its cheaper too. dipi Report post Posted July 22, 2009 Well, i had being training magic using blessings. I advanced from lvl 33 to 40 using it. The key is ask for the bless then just move a few steps to the castle and use MD with the giant spiders (they have 30 mana points). When your mana bar is full waste it with MD to the skell/gargs. You must to move fast and get the rhythm. You can cast like 5-6 MDs per minute, w/o using SRS. When your blessing had go, move back to the priest and start again. The cost is really lower than using potions of magic. 25gcs for a blessing = just kill 2-3 gargs. This way of training may be a little slower that with a MD ping pong, but you can do it whenever you want not depending on other player. When you achive lvl 40 do the same training in Naralik with the spiders. Other mobs that have mana are: Grizzly and Black bears, White Tigers, Yetis (high magic resistance), some Chimeran wolves. I hope this little guide help people trying to get lvl 40 of magic. Dipi.
eagleprince Report post Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) At that level, wouldn't it be cheapeer to just cast shield non-stop? You wouldn't need a partner, nor do you even need to be in PK. You only need 1 MatEss as opposed to 6 AEs, so I would expect that most people would make more magic exp on a full EMU load of MateEss/SRs than they could on a full load of AEs/SRs. So I would recommend getting 25gc blessing, then sit there with FR cape a few fruit to keep food +ve, the shield yourself until you run out of ings. Wash are repeat. Mind you, I haven't done any sums, so don't shoot PK me plx! ok...did some estimates:- Shield spell gives 40 base exp using 11 mana. MD gives 200 base and uses 20 mana. So you would need to cast 5 times the number of MDs for same exp. Unfortunately however, you will need more mana, but FR cape at fast reg spots such as IP will help there. bugabear Report post Posted July 24, 2009 Fill up with MatEss, food, bring your CoM and PS/FR cape, find a nice quiet Fast Regen area, hit your Shield spell and enjoy... even better if you can locate a FR area with harvestables available :~) And for the record I have full Unolas and can't recall ever having received a blessing for any reason...hmmm But hitting the bears once you are comfortable with MD was one of my favorite training past times and the bear furs are a bonus for any potter (or summoner)
Zeddicul Report post Posted August 14, 2009 to train my magic: casting heal, shield, restores at ~lvl 36/37 using mag pots and trained on spiders (my a/d was very low) as i got mag 40 i went to pl. tit cave and started md the spider and ld the pw, inbetween i killed skellies for drops and bones. The bones payed all costs for this lvl'ing but i made only ~10k mag xp/hr. then as i got to a/d ~55 i started training on bears, you figure out witch but with them you can make ~20-23k mag xp/hr and still the drops pay for the cost. Dont forget to always cast shield spells, even its only a little extra xp it still counts and you'l get to no-fail-restore easy, cheap and fast.
dipi Report post Posted August 14, 2009 If you can find the Spider Cave in TG you will advance very fast there are like 10 spiders in there... spiders have 30 mana, bears 20...
Light Lan Report post Posted August 15, 2009 bears have 30 mana as well
A_BloCK Report post Posted November 23, 2009 just fill up with AE's, get your unolas blessing, then teleport quickly to TD or any other pk map with your MD buddy. you'll be able to MD for a few minutes, then tele back and start over. it's much faster then using LD/MI to lvl up to lvl 35. and if you would LD one someone else its cheaper too. easiest way i found was go to unloas with some Aes and a few bear summoning stones just sit infront of him and md the bears i found the really easy hope it helps :>
