You've never met female rowers But maybe this culture of monsters is unisex and just calls it's one form "male". Maybe we should have races with three sexs? If we go by the Roleplaying theme that Ogre are mutated gnomes, then what would the women gnomes become, a shirtless male ogre? Huh? On the topic of ogres.... There is nothing to be confused about when it comes to the male ogre. Just consider the name "male" as extra information.
