MetLinux_LNX Report post Posted August 5, 2005 (edited) hi all.. so. because i'm always sitting at beam, i very ofter hear something like "this game sucks", "_____ is better" when i'm asking why, noobs says that healing takes too much time. then i'm saying that there's lots of ways to heal, etc... but: i think noob, after registering must have few brs. at least 3. yes, i know about quests, but lots of noobs cares only about "how do i kill something", and don't play quests, but about manuals you must forget at all... so when noob will see brs, he'll know that there's normal way to heal, without reading manuals and quests... i'm sure, that'll take few minutes to implement that. kl4Uz Report post Posted August 7, 2005 Actually I think that's a good idea. That way the newbies already possess something and don't feel that naked and helpless, without any possessions at all, thrown into an unknown world. In addition I suggest that once more clothes (not armours) are added, they should start with some simple shirt, jacket or a dress.
Sistema Report post Posted August 7, 2005 that's kinda not really a good idea... how would a new comer know what that body rest is, and how and when to use it? we seriously need that newb island thing, where they can learn the basics. and when you create a character. It'd ask if you've played before, so if you have, you have the chance to skip it too.

I say bring back NI and dont let them have a skip option! A regular player will breeze thru it quickly and they shouldn't be in there very often anyways, so that wont be as much of a problem as the n00bs that skip. Sistema Report post Posted August 7, 2005 what about something like a quiz? to see if the players is a new comer or a player that has played el? like 3 random questions with 4 options to choose from... Q) How do you exit Isla Prima? 1. via Train 2. via Boat 3. via Walking 4. via Teleport ^.^ (just a thought, dunno if it can be done)

kl4Uz Report post Posted August 7, 2005 Giving the newbies a few items to play with is just an extra addition. That doesn't mean there shouldn't be something like the Newbie Island. But the life of a newbie can be very hard in the beginning - once they learn how to heal their material points by eating food (which is a very slow way) - they have to harvest that food, which takes ages with harv level 0. So why don't we supply them with a very small amount of healing items. So they already know the way to heal or maybe find out. I don't think that really hurts anybody or gives them a major advantage. But it could be something to keep them happy and in the game.

Yes it is illegal, but I am sure if you do this, it will happen.
freeone3000 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Of course, in the time you spent at the characater creation screen, you could actually MAKE 2 br's, and btw, multiplaying is illegal. It shouldn't be thought of as a drawback that by doing something illegal it might mess up something.
