  1. Missing gods

    I think a harvesting goddess would be a good idea; I'd like to dump a large load of fresh, steaming dung on her temple for all of the breaks and extra damage I have received.
  2. Invasion in Melinis 19/11/2016

    Nice invasion and I am not a big invasion fighter for too many pick points invested in non-fighting perks and nexus. Caught tail end of invasion and killed a few bosses and some invaders, about 100 total and got 100k gc in drops but no specials. Did use up 12 potions of action points, broke enhanced sun medallion, damaged titanium armor and used up lots of resources but fun. Should have skipped the blue dragon inside walls which unlike other mobs was not capped.

    Please do the reboots between days. We have had reboots while players are doing dailies, A calendar should be implemented to do after last day of each game month it is booted.

    Another way to up use of rings would be a 'Day of No Magic' which was neutral and would spur use of rings and potions. It would also result in no instances/invances that day but other such days exist and it is natural opposite to 'Day of Magic' which already exists.

    The only thing they "cost" is time. And if time had value we wouldn't be spending hundreds of hours of it playing a game... There is cost of tools and gem sanding paper; and making the gem sanding paper less expensive would make more likely that some will spend hours of it playing a game if they like mixing not being a fighter who harvests/does alchemy to make money. Crafting, potioning and manufacturing have significant costs relative to amount you can get in return unlike alchemy (i.e. magic esses ingredients cost around 5 and most sell for 8+) and fighting. And supposedly this game USED TO BE just about combat but lately it is just about combat if you wish to make money or are very, very lucky with a rare and getting much rarer stone.

    Simple way to correct some of it is by having a NPC sell crafting paper cheaper either after quest or a NPC priest to followers.
  8. Invasionmeters are barely used due to ingredients and very high break rate. I broke two today on summon parts invasion and checked I believe less than 15 maps. Like many others will not use these made in China toys anymore. I understand why some do not want to make changes in Invasionmeters - they already made and if it is changed they lose value - but this is for a different type of invasionmeter. New kind of invasionmeter, the broadcast invasionmeter, will use same image. Differences: It will not break if there are no invaders on map When it used it will broadcast the information like joker found messages like this: <playername> discovered 2 invaded monsters on <mapname>: Very weak: 1 Weak: 0 Medium: 1 Strong: 0 Very strong: 0 The idea this is more of a public service message and players looking for invasions where they do not wish to share information will not use this type of meter. Ways it can be different: Use a different type of rare ingredient such as Enriched Energy Essesses which are barely used Make more meters in a recipe Have a much lower break rate Have a different cooldown rate to discouraging spamming of messages
  9. This happens a lot more often to me now while traveling than it does at home but I think it would be useful to all players. Suggestion: User controlled setting to control how and after how much no response time does a player grue. Observation: Grue does not appear to be directly connected to connection for I have kept a continuous trace route with no hiccups and still grued; it has also occurred shortly (under a minute) after a player action so not sure what all factors go into a grue. Suggested controls: Current grue settings would not change unless a player, preferably per character, changed settings manually. Have setting to automatically attempt to reconnect after a grue for a period of time. Very useful for players AFK reading or just listening to messages Have grue check time as setting; Grue will occur if two successive checks within this period fail. Players could adjust it to smaller number when in dangerous situation or to larger period of time when in Command line interface for these settings would be useful. As currently implemented punish players, In addition to the above mentioned interruption of reading there are cooldown on items, interrupt and cooldown on harvesting, very annoying grues before end of hour which can take away ability to gain harvest experience for an hour and other unnecessary minor effects. When I was asked about grues as a new player I was told it was to protect players from such things as being attacked and to prevent abuse by logging out and in quickly hence cooldown but it now seems to be a mini-event which needs to be overcome too often.
  10. Is there a windows version? With the repeated issue with grue due to DDoS or DDoS Firewall the grue timer should be increased, Even better would be a setting so if you are sitting in storage you can sit it on "high" but if training "low". It is annoying to walk away for lunch and discover a minute after you left you grued out.

    Simple solution is to allow use of $ to indicate end of name; it would only match whole names that way. /sax would go to sax or saxum whatever login is active /sax$ would go to sax only.

    I prefer liches; they could drain OAs which could be restored by priests and priestesses (only last one to minimum experience for level). Of course if you are godless you are screwed but there should be some penalty for heathens. I suppose there could be some rare drops or something sold in shop as well.

    Not understand at all purpose of ant card. Using summoning stones does not seem a lot of fun and if you agree to enter you need to have enough for all fights or drop out. I understand how it works with you needing to take chances to beat better players (players with higher summoning/etc) ability but outcome is almost predetermined - high level player with The Summoner Perk will win; those with excess summoning stones will have a use for them but not a very useful one.

    Can we have icons for EEE and chicken feathers PLEASE? So annoying to grab and get wrong ones. I had so many EEEs at one point I grabbed them by mistake and died in invasion due to not having any EEs. I just dump them as fast as I make them now.
  20. Note in 10 years there is a good chance that player was removed during cleanup. With changes in game in 10 years it may not be worth paying for it; I'd suggest creating a new character say "Kanouff_Jr", see if you still like and then work on getting old character back. At least with new character you could chat with any friends who still play. The old rule about trading between alts does not apply do if you get old character back you could trade items.

    Please no on Manu Power Ups to save; not fair to those who do not like PvP and there should be no disadvantage to a mixer who does want to do PvP since two skills are not related.

    The quack Tankel's highest loss percentage is 50% for titanium serpent sword, rest are at 40%, 30% and 20%. Heavybeard success rate goes from 40%-70% making failure from 30%-60%. Having 50% failure rate AND extra ingredients AND as you suggested double the nexus makes no sense; drink getting your coffee via IV.

    This is a very good idea especially with use of Enriched Energy Essences which were added but hardly utilized and a number of Point Defense equal to manufacturing level; make difficulty a factor (say 20) to armor manufacturing level and require to do it be with aid of priest; it would cost fixer action points. So Red Dragon armor would be easier to repair than Blue Dragon armor. You of course would need knowledge other than on no books day. Priest: (choose repair dragon armor) I will give my aid. Red Dragon Torso: Recommended Manufacturing level: 73 Recommended Repair level: 93 Base Manufacturing experience given: 4600 Action Points subtracted: 100 Ingredients 1 Red Dragon Mail (Damaged) 1 Red Dragon Scale 1 Enriched Energy Essence 10 Titanium Bar 20 Thread 73 Point Defense Required tools: Hammer Needle Knowledge required: Book of Red Dragon Mail Required nexus: Artificial: 6 On Recycle day there is a chance you will not lose extra ingredients but you will never keep damaged armor piece.

Burn and others did a bang up job on adding new places like the new schools in Melanis, the arena and new caverns in Irin and the new ranging arena in Irsis but maybe the EL world needs to evolve along with storyline more without ruining it for new characters. Not exactly sure what the mountain in DP adds though. As example MM i am sure at one point seemed dangerous to characters but with all the traffic MM should start to build up with maybe new building replacing the ruins, maybe even open buildings (not hampering those who are hellspawn) including an open air tavern like in TG magic school gardens which is never used. Bridge construction could be worked on in Arius with players being able to volunteer on work crews with some engineering experience given. Players could donate materials to projects of interest and when enough labor/materials donated changes will be made on next practical map release. When I came in 2010 the world was basically created; some new npcs were added, new items, etc but I never got to go a map opening. Maybe even Mayor Kalana be put on trial for corruption and her nemesis rabbits left alone.
