Roja Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Hey guys, we're going to be finally making the contests in the arenas. I wanted to have an NPC where you "sign up" for the contest, but Ent says that's not going to work, so instead we will have special arena's. Each one dedicated to a contest type...I guess that is how it will work anyway Arena fight contest types: Default laws of arena contests: No exp gained, No items lost, and you do not go to the underworld. You are left "living" with 1hp, and when you "die" you stay where you "died". First person to reach 1hp is the looser. 1.Knights Fight Any Weapon/armor, no spells, no items, no summoning. 3.Fist fight No weapon/armor, no items, no spells, no summoning. ONLY attack and defense skills may be used. 4.Mage fight Only spells allowed, no summoning, no weapon/armor, no items. 5.Summoners Battle Only summoned creatures are allowed to fight each other. Only heal spells are allowed be cast on the creatures. 6.Anything goes any weapon/armor, any item, any spell, etc Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Platyna Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Suggestion no 1.: WSC arena, make tribunes non PK map it can still serve for hardcore PK but observators will be safe...Rest seems ok, big problem in nice events is that there is like of techinical posibilities, contest maps should change it. Lyanna Report post Posted September 27, 2004 A few questions/issues: 1) How exactly are you going to integrate them with the current maps - put flags along the WSC arena walls? Basically, how are players supposed to access these maps? 2) What if there are more than 2 people who want to fight in the same arena type? Are you going to move each pair to a new map, or move them all to the same arena? Roja Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Well personally I dno't like the idea of maps defined as such. I wish that it would work through an NPC or some sort of "trade" agreement only between 2 players(more if it's a multicombat contest). So this way the whole map would not be PK contest effected..you know? Ideally, it'd work this way: You go into the Arena map to the NPC there, and the dialogue box comes up: "Hi [playername], welcome to the Fight arena! What kind of contest do you want to enter? Knight's fight Mage fight Anything Goes...etc, etc... You click on a fight type, then click on the player who you want to fight. That player would then get a message like this: [playername] has just chosen you as his opponent in the MAGE FIGHT. To accept, click on him! might this be possible? Edit: Learner, I did think of that. But I also though, if you are able to choose your opponent, you'd think for yourself whether or not to accept with their lvls(players online page). falcon2330 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 reminds me soooo much of the duals in RS but heck an arena where u can fight other players and u DONT die, i really like this idea :lol: but erm... yea... how are u gonna get that to work? and shouldnt u have full health again after each battle with another player? i know ur not gonna agree with me on this but... in RS whenever u dualed another player, and u exhausted your HP (lose it all) your health will automatically come back to its orignal max.... and if we'll gonna have that... shouldn't we stake an item Player1 staked a Serpent Sword. Player2 staked 20,000 gp. Player1 won the fight and earned 20,000 gp. :lol: i dunno thats pretty much all i have to say (i swear no one better flame me cause i play RS ) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
