Special Enemies

We all know that Portland has that one goblin wandering around that we've dubbed "Bob the Gob"

 

This idea originally was just a joke floating around the chat channels one night but turned into a nice idea

 

Each major map (excluding Isla Prima) could have it's own unique "Special" enemy that spawns only once per game hour. This enemy would have the stats of a typical enemy on that map, except have 3X the health. So for Valley of the Dwarves, the special enemy would be like a wolf that has 3X hp than normal.

 

Killing this creature would drop a unique item worth approx 1000 gold or something along the lines of that, could be map-specific even.

 

This special enemy could perhaps be just a regular enemy with some kind of defining effect, such as perhaps an aura around it or discoloration, or it could be a bandit/mercenary/rogue of some sort

I've seen it done in other MMOs and it works quite effectively and gives you something to do when you are taking a break from skill leveling (or in EL's case, while you're researching perhaps)
