Disconnected From Server

Recommended Posts

Hi I was just in the game when suddenly it became non-responsive... I could open the encyclopaedia, manu window etc... but I couldn't harvest, walk etc.

Then I was sent a message saying

Couldn't release mutex

Disconnected from server!

Press any key to attempt to reconnect.

[press Alt-x to quit]

so I tried to reconnect...

Connecting to server...

Can't connect :(

Press any key to retry [Alt-x to quit]

etc...

Is there a problem with one of the main servers, or is this happening with soomething on my side? I hope something can be done about this soon. I don't want to have to go outside and play...

It's not a problem with the main server. I could connect fine. Do the usual sort of things: close EL and restart it, or reboot your comp and try again, make sure your Net connection is working fine, etc.

Wow you're quick to reply Lyanna!

I just got back in after I waited maybe 10-15 minutes, as I expected I would, but it was just the first time it had happened, and I thought it may have been a bug of some kind... oh well... situation remedied... sort of.

But if it happens to anyone else atleast now there is a thread about mutex, so they can easily add to it or just read it and wait a while. :(

MUTEX lat. for "silencer that has been"

age and origin are pretty much unknown.

many Eternalogists believe he is the stepbrother of the Grue, definitely related to him tho.

He is the only known force in the universe that can keep the grue under control.

that's why the grue hates him and tries to trick him into a trap in an everlasting struggle to rule EL.

has the grue succeeded you have 5 seconds to "release the mutex" !

should you fail, the grue gets you...sometimes so fast that there will be no notice !

you can log back in only if some1 else released the mutex again.
