Does anyone know that if you have the collateral damage perk do the damage points collected because of the perk contribute to the Mother nature hates me achievement?

I think it's because none of us actually know ive checked this thread several times but honestly have no clue.

My guess is that most people get the achievement regardless if we have the perk or not. Those having the perk probably aren't paying enough attention to damage to know if it was that perk that sped them along to the achievement.

It appears that CD damage does apply to this achievement. I just had rank 2 pop while idle at EVTR iron when someone else hit a radon pouch.

Actually I did some extensive testing regarding this very question about 2-3 months back (at that time I hadn't seen this topic on the forum) and from the results I got (with frequent trips to redeemer to check my current numbers) collateral damage DOES NOT COUNT towards MN hates me achievement.

All kinds of (harv event) damage count, mini events count, but NOT damage received through events triggered by others (collateral damage).

 

At least that was the result of several harvest sessions of mine with extensive logging of events and check runs with redeemer.

 

I don't know how Zilding experienced what he did experience (I don't doubt his word) but all I can tell from the data I plotted is that collateral damage DOES NOT count (I said that already, didn't I ) ?

I think you're right. I just went back through my chat log, it looks like I misread exactly when the achievement popped when i got back to my computer and saw the popup. My bad. Still, it seems like it took me _forever_ to get this achievement the first time, and it's coming along _way_ faster now. But I'd trust your data if you actually checked it w/Redeemer.
