Strike Report post Posted December 5, 2008 Would anyone be interested in particpating in a Pk event thats structured, as follows... You either join ~S~ or ~L~ guilds. You Pm the Nightmare or Mercy bots to join either. The event will be at Nc south cave(its close to sto). Each team elects member to go stand a certain a area. The ~S~ elected player, is not allowed to leave a crumpling building at 118,16. The ~L~ elected player, is not allowed to leave a wooden platform at 151,112. The guilds objective is to kill the other guild's elected player, once you have killed the other guilds eelected player your guild wins. This will be an old school event, so only the following armours and weapons are allowed; Any Leather Armour Any Chainmails Iron Helm Iron Sword Iron Broad Sword Steel long Sword Steel 2 edged Sword Titanium short Sword Titanium long Sword Iron Shield Wooden shield Enhanced wooded Shield Steel Shield No Cols, summoning stones, damage rings, brods, bods, branches, bones or wards. Any magic is allowed Diss rings are allowed Any potions are allowed Any medallions are allowed. Im seeking a few moderators to walk around and make sure people are using the allowed items. IF you are contestant and you catch someone breaking the rules, take a screenie and if a player has a broken a rule, they will be banned from the contest. SO what do you think? Would players want to enter? Would any moderators want to help out? What time would suit people?
korrode Report post Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) I personally would use my usual allowed equipment list (see: Showdown events), but i'd still compete. One serious issue you have is that to compete in this people need to set themselves total war 'combatant'. This flag stays with you even when you go back to your normal guild, and it means in future if you ever goto a guild that is at total war, you will automatically be combatant once again. (Unless you spend the 50kgc to turn the flag off). Perhaps using an existing PK map and a couple of normal guilds is a better idea. Strike Report post Posted December 5, 2008 I just think if its n00by equipment, weaker ppl will come if they are not fighting BD armer and thermal serps, also rosts arent a problem. Good point about the combatent thing i might need to investigate that.

korrode Report post Posted December 5, 2008 I just think if its n00by equipment, weaker ppl will come if they are not fighting BD armer and thermal serps, also rosts arent a problem. I personally would use my usual allowed equipment list (see: Showdown events) There wouldn't be BD armor and Thermal serps if Showdown equipment was allowed 4. Certain weapons and items are NOT allowed, they are as follows:The rare/magical Great Swords (such as JS of cooldown, cutty of mage, rapier of death, etc.). The rare/magical Armors (such as steel greaves of ubber def, Ti plate of freezing, etc.). Any fire/ice/magic/thermal sword. Medallion of Life. BRoD and BoD. Normal Branch and Bone. Any "Enchanted Weapons" (see Enchanted Weapons page in EL encyclopedia). The Bronze Sword. Dragon Armors. To ensure further clarity, these are the kind of items that ARE allowed: Normal Iron, Steel, Titanium and Bronze armors. All normal shields up to titanium. Moon, Unicorn, Stars and Sun medallions. Crowns of Life and Mana. Any Cape. Any normal Great Sword, with the exception of the Bronze Sword. Any non-enchanted weapons. (any weapons listed in the "Weapons" page in the encyclopedia (that's page 1, not page 2; which has the "Enchanted Weapons"))

Strike Report post Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) Well what do you guys think only "showdown" equipment allowed or old school equipment? Also i thought that mages might be too powerful but with no wards and people using MI they should be alright. Anyone else interested?
