Srry for length any help would be greatly appreciated Well, seems you are missing lots of files, maybe the whole meshes folder. - If you installed only the update, are you sure you extracted all the files in the right place? and not maybe only the el.exe? - have you tried reinstalling the whole game? I mean totally delete EL folder and then do a new installation (before deleting, remember to save files like questlog, chatlog, counters, etc if you want to keep them: you could also just rename the EL folder to EL-old and then do the new install) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Aislinn Report post Posted December 31, 2006 Also, you might need to install updated graphics card drivers from the manufacturer's site. SweetThang Report post Posted January 1, 2007 ok I did what Aislinn and Thery said and still no luck i can log into still and then bam black screen? so now creative is going to put a lower vid card in my new comp and see if that will run it since it ran it on old comp crosses fingers I HATE SWITCHING COMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SharkBite Report post Posted January 1, 2007 I upgraded my old FX5500 nvidia card ..(that worked fine with EL) and put in a geforce 7600gs (a big step up in card power) and had no problems... Do you have probs running other games? it may be the card is not compatible. I had similar probs in past with a certain brand of card.. the shop ended up putting a different brand card in and prob was solved.. Nvidia and ATI are usually pretty safe bets when it comes to video cards. (Also when you downloaded the latest driver for the card you have... did you uninstall the card driver that you were using before installing the new driver? That can cause problems as well ... the old driver may override the new version, or clash in other ways). Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
