Request for source tarball

Recommended Posts

There is a delay in releasing an updated EL package on gentoo due to CVS being down (berlios.de isn't accessible at the moment). Could an EL dev post a source tarball somewhere so that it can be packaged?

For reference:

Gentoo bugzilla entry

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159336

Not sure what the bugzilla attachment size limit is - you might just be able to post it to the bug. Gentoo will use mirrored sources for end-user downloads, so it doesn't need to be posted on a high-bandwidth site.

Edit: I do have linux installed on a running VM, tell me the command and I'll make a regularly updated tarball.

Even if Berlios site seems to be down, you can get source code from cvs openin a terminal and typing

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.elc.berlios.de:/cvsroot/elc co elc

for el client and

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.elc.berlios.de:/cvsroot/elc co mapeditor

for the map editor

My server can now do a direct CVS update when you click on CVS update.php

It now saves as tar.gz

I only allow one CVS update every 5 minutes to save my bandwidth. The page tells you the last update time.

Also, when I try and get the mapeditor, I get

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.elc.berlios.de:/cvsroot/elc co mapeditor

cvs checkout: warning: failed to open /root/.cvspass for reading: No such file or directory

cvs server: cannot find module `mapeditor' - ignored

cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot expand modules

Am I doing something incorrectly?
