Llywar Report post Posted December 31, 2006 There is a delay in releasing an updated EL package on gentoo due to CVS being down (berlios.de isn't accessible at the moment). Could an EL dev post a source tarball somewhere so that it can be packaged? For reference: Gentoo bugzilla entry http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159336 Not sure what the bugzilla attachment size limit is - you might just be able to post it to the bug. Gentoo will use mirrored sources for end-user downloads, so it doesn't need to be posted on a high-bandwidth site.
LabRat Report post Posted December 31, 2006 (edited) http://elc.labby.is-a-geek.com/ Edit: I do have linux installed on a running VM, tell me the command and I'll make a regularly updated tarball. Edited December 31, 2006 by LabRat
Theryndan Report post Posted December 31, 2006 Even if Berlios site seems to be down, you can get source code from cvs openin a terminal and typing cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.elc.berlios.de:/cvsroot/elc co elc for el client and cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.elc.berlios.de:/cvsroot/elc co mapeditor for the map editor
LabRat Report post Posted December 31, 2006 My server can now do a direct CVS update when you click on CVS update.php It now saves as tar.gz http://elc.labby.is-a-geek.com I only allow one CVS update every 5 minutes to save my bandwidth. The page tells you the last update time.
LabRat Report post Posted December 31, 2006 Also, when I try and get the mapeditor, I get cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.elc.berlios.de:/cvsroot/elc co mapeditorcvs checkout: warning: failed to open /root/.cvspass for reading: No such file or directory cvs server: cannot find module `mapeditor' - ignored cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot expand modules Am I doing something incorrectly? Llywar Report post Posted December 31, 2006 Many thanks - I was able to access the source and post it to bugzilla. It looks like the existing ebuild will need a little tweaking.
