[patch] Misc window (clock/compass) transparency

Recommended Posts

This patchwill allow one to make the clock and compass look nice when you hit F6. You need to edit the gamebuttons2.bmp file to have the black background around the clock/compass though. It works fine even without editing those graphics as the normal background would show through any dark spots.

Screenie for all of you with my edited gamebuttons2 graphics.

I put your patch on and its really cute and useful. The whole game looks better in F6 anyway. Although it did raise some points.

1) The screen size changes with the maps rendering the left and bottom useless.

2) F6 is not part of the settings so you simply cannot have it by default.

The F6 functionality is native to the game. I did not add it. There are many issues involved with the F6 functionality and this patch does not seek to remedy those. I am simply trying to make the corner with the compass and clock appear more appealing when not in console or map mode.
