Recommended Posts

Hi,

After updating as instructed the GL display for certain objects is corrupted.

Basically here is a small lis of whats going on ..( Roofs of some buildings not displayed . Mountains / rock area's missing sections . Tents in DP have sections missing . textures in some areas incorrect or just not there ( Black floor ).. cape on player shimmers / neck part dissapears.

I have 2 screenshots if any wants to take a look ( grabbed with gimp ) ...

Here are the details for my system

Slackware 10.2 kernel 2.4.32

OpenGL vendor string: Tungsten Graphics, Inc

OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel® 845G 20041217 x86/MMX/SSE2

OpenGL version string: 1.3 Mesa 6.2.1

Hope this helps ..

Regards ...

I think it has something to do with the driver/card having crappy OpenGL implementations. You could attempt upgrading your drivers to see if that works, but I wouldn't bet my house on it.

Would'nt be a good idea .. as latest dri / drm is being used ... Ive just taken a look at the Mesa3d page seems there have been alot of bug fixes for mesa 6.4. will have to wait for this to be merged into Xfree dri .. ( Will post if i see fixes ) ..

Guest santamaart

I solved that problem in my system disabling compiled_vertex_array detection in gl_init.c (I simply pasted a have_compiled_vertex_array=0; after detection, around line 580)
