Puntif Report post Posted February 3, 2004 I'm getting tired of seeing it, so could the word "tit" please be added to the "bad words list"? At least for April 1.

Puntif Report post Posted February 3, 2004 I thought of that - maybe "tit " would be a bad word, not "tit". Except on April 1.
Kasgoroth Report post Posted February 3, 2004 I guess he means "tit", not "*tit*"
Grum Report post Posted February 3, 2004 Ehhh...yeah, but the language filter works that way. Try organizing a smegtail party in EL, and you'll see.
Kasgoroth Report post Posted February 3, 2004 @Grum: you mean you can't filter stand-alone words like "tit" without filtering "tit" in any other words that may contain it?
Grum Report post Posted February 3, 2004 Yes, that's what I mean. The filter simply takes a character string and replaces it with smeg, regardless of where that string is. And in many (most?) cases this works out well. The method that puntif suggested (check for "tit ") *might work, if the program recognizes the extra space as belonging to the string to be filtered. And off the top of my head and I can't think of any words in english the end in tit. Communication in french becomes "un pesmeg peu" more difficult, though...
