Missing stuff on the distribution?

I downloaded the game from http://el.tfm.ro/el_112_linux.zip, made a dir ~/el, and unzip it there. I am using a compiled from source slackware-10-2 (the only things i did not compile from source is opera and el). I am not using custom maps anymore, since its illegal.

And i got the following errors in error_log.txt:

No Anim: ./animations/player_slash1.caf

No Anim: ./animations/canine_pain.caf

Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle5.bmp"

Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle6.bmp"

Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle7.bmp"

Without those the trees looks really ugly and i cant even walk in certain places, montains dont appear, etc.

Anyone know how i should solve the problem?
