map problem

every thing i change map . i get disconnect from server .

 

 

for example when i am in a cave and go outside of the cave I get disconected from the server .

 

if entropy does not fix the problem then i will stop playing el forever .

Do you have the offical NEW client?

 

What kind of graphics card do you have?

(and have you the most current drivers for that card?)

I have a tnt 32mb video card . it is using the latest version of 69.66 which my video card can support . which is nov 2004 . the version 71.66 does not work on my graphic card .

 

plus my pc is 266mhz cpu. i know i know i should buy a new pc but monies is tight for me.

 

Plus i am using the new client plus i deleted all the old modified map on el 1.0.1 .

 

plus i turn off all the thingies in el.ini except poor man .

Did you make a fresh installation? What I mean by that is a new installation, not installing the new client in your existing EL folder.

Yes I did . i deleted the old el version 101 folder

this is what my errot say . so if no one can solved it . then i will have to get a rl life to buy a 256mb video card menaing i will not play el until jan 2009 .

and still, this game IS in Beta, so if you are going to complain that your going to leave the game if entropy doesn't fix this, then don't play games in beta.

Try updating your TNT drivers, and then try to log in to the game.

 

The TNT cards are very low-end when it comes to gaming, so I would suggest you try disabling most features, like shadows, shadow mapping, mipmaps etc.

 

If it works, try enabling said features, one by one.

 

If this doesn't work at all I suggest you buy yourself a new graphics card.
