Merrick Report post Posted September 13, 2005 When I start my client it says the things that are found/not found and using/not using... Mine says: GL_ARBmultitexture extension found, using it. GL_EXTcompiled_vertex_array extension found, using it. Couldn't find the GL_*_point_sprite extension, not using it... GL_ARB_texture_compression extension found, using it. GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc extension found, using it. GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap extension found, NOT using it... Shadowmapping disabled (need newer hardware) GL_ARB_vertex_program extension found, NOT using it... What does any of this mean? Anyone know?
Brom Report post Posted September 13, 2005 There are settings in el.ini to enable those, You can alternatively use the settings button in game then select "Save INI" and it will save those settings. Couldn't find the GL_*_point_sprite extension, not using it... Im not sure what this one is. But the rest are fairly understandable.

freeone3000 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 It shouldn't be causing you to not be able to login... No shadowmapping and no mipmaps is about all that's saying. Derin: Point particles.

Merrick Report post Posted September 14, 2005 (edited) Okay, I disabled my personal firewall (Sygate) I disabled Windows Firewall. And I disabled my antivirus (AVG Grisoft) still, no luck. As for the files: Error: Can't open file "./textures/fontv.bmp" This one isn't there^ (atleast I didn't see it) No Anim: ./animations/player_slash1.caf It's there ^ No Anim: ./animations/canine_pain.caf It's there^ Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle5.bmp"} Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle6.bmp"}--->These are not there Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle7.bmp"} The quest log is not there, but I saved my old one. Same for the chat log. (It didn't mention that though) *Pulling hair out* I've replaced my texture and animation files with yours (Minion). But no luck. I've also tried putting the actual internet address for the server in my el.ini file. No luck there either. Atleast my error log is down to 1kb per log now vs. 45kb per log Still unable to log in. It's late and as stubborn as I am, I'll give up for tonight and give it a fresh look tomorrow. Thanks guys/gals ^_^
Merrick Report post Posted September 14, 2005 (edited) So, I couldn't sleep till I solved the problem. <_< (did I mention being stubborn?) I went to windows update and found that I couldn't even do that. I've been trying to use my MSN Messenger all day, couldn't do that either. Anyways...someone *Looks all innocent* did something unknown to cause this. I did a system restore to a prior restoration point and voila! Yay! Sorry for waisting space on this forum and others' time on my own mistakes. Now I'll be up for another hour, atleast, trying to check everything out! teehee Merrick <---Addicted Edited September 14, 2005 by Merrick
