It'd be rather heavy, but while carrying it you're half as likely to cause a cave-in. you can balance it well by adjusting weight and the percentage reduction on cave-ins. At the least, a miners helmet (including light if that works) would be cool also, having perception play a role while harvesting. more perception means better chance to see a bee coming, avoid cave-ins, spot coin bags, etc. There may be more interest in getting the unused attributes then, which would be good.
